Really looking forward to the next one.

Changes I'd make:

Tanvir OUT, Rumman IN
Shehzad OUT (precautionary), Nawaz IN

Nawaz gives us another bowling option - that too a spinner in such conditions, and this allows Malik (man in form), Sarfraz (struggles to hit at #6), Imad, and Shadab (needs to bat high up) all to move up.

Shehzad should go out for now and Babar should open, thus allowing Fakhar to come in at #3.

Kamran should get the remaining 2 T20Is as well so that if he fails in both, he doesn't start in the ODI series and hopefully can get booted eventually.

The six Tanvir gave shifted the momentum towards WI. He kept bowling legside rubbish and clearly doesn't give a hoot about fitness. His body language is beyond pathetic. Even when you ignore the rubbish individual that he is, he still doesn't even merit a side even on performance. Rumman can surely match his figures on such pitches and is a much younger option.

Wahab should play the 3rd T20I now as he has deserved it. Is a real asset under Sarfraz's captaincy. However, he should be rested for the 4th T20I and Shinwari should come in.

My XI for the next game:

Kamran
Babar
Fakhar
Malik
Sarfraz
Shadab
Imad
Nawaz
Wahab
Hasan
Rumman

What a side.

agree with your selections but I fear Hafeez might play next match if Shehzad is getting rest, Nawaz will come good on these pitches I hope he plays ahead of Hafeez, Fakhar should open though

Kamran Akmal out, Mohammad Nawaz in. Sohail Tanvir out, Usman "Warrior" Khan in.

I don't want Akmal to be dropped. Eagerly waiting for his next excuse. "Maine 3 chance maange the aapne 4 dediye, yeh cheating hai"

Dont waste Pakistan's time by still playing Kamran Akmal. Drop him for Nawaz and open with Ahmed Shehzad and Fakhar Zaman. Also drop Sohail Tanvir for Rumman Raess. Now the team look a bit more balanced.

Ideally, PAK should pick Asghar from ODI unit & play him. These WI hacks are not going to survive 8 overs of quality spin. Otherwise Nawaz & Raees should replace Tanvir & KAkmal.

This is such a poor job from Inzi - had he picked Talat, PAK could have used him as 3rd seemer & play an extra spinner.

I'm actually surprised to see Sarfraz go with 3 pacers. In the PSL he made sure to get 12 overs of spin minimum in every match.

we won today because of an 18 year olds bowling - the rest of the teams performance lay between acceptable and awful. worst of it being the batting, so theres no way you can weaken that. Nawaz and hafeez are not good enough batters to displace even the mediocre batting talents we have.

so the only change I can see is Tanvir out and raees in. theres no point in taking shinwari and raees if they are just going to warm the bench. I would bet though that the team management genuinely do have an intent to rotate the players, as they should, particularly with the series unable to be lost.

What he can do? Hasan is the best of the 3 pacers, while Wahab & Tanvir are senior. Tanvir comes from Pindi, from where Arshal Sheikh is making every possible team that he can enter through back-door, therefore it's probably an open secret who is backing this Zombi, who must be at least 38 now. And, PCB is helping their course by twisting fitness test to accommodate the likes of Tanvir, Kamran & MoHa.

This is it. Pakistan does not have the squad to set a total of >140. Honestly I don't care which bowler they play. The West Indies batsmen are walking wickets

I am not a fan of either of these three. But ignoring kamran Akmal's performance in domestic cricket was like setting a precedent ie even if you perform well in domestic cricket, we will still not pick you
Don't you think it will be demoralizing for them.
Further, wasim yesterday post match that he did not see any good batsmen in pakistan domestic cricket.

I wont even comment on the other two :(

Kamran I understand. I myself wrote few months back that Inzi didn't pick Kamran to AUS, where his record is better (for his batting style & skills), while he might pick him for WI. But, absolutely no reason to pick MoHa, Zakir & Tanvir. Tanvir wasn't a bad pick had he been remotely match fit, but that guy can barely flex these days.

Regarding the domestic batsmen - I am not sure which Wasim it is; probably not Akram, because he has seen less PAK domestic matches than even me in last few years. Md Wasim is a bit different issue - normally, he is used as the Devil's advocate in Dr. niaz's show.

I hope one of Raees or Shinwari get a game ahead of Tanvir.

The batting needs to be a lot better, we got away with it last night thanks to a combination of sloppy WI fielding and Wahab-Shadab's late partnership. We tried to play for a 170-180 total when the par 1st inns T20I score at Queens Park Oval is 128. We need to read the conditions better.

The bowling seems to be clicking with Shadab being sensational, but its notable that WI have neutralised Imad Wasim. They've learned their lessons from the UAE and aren't playing many across the line shots - you saw how straight Marlon Samuels was playing against him.

well actually

wasim just said that he has not seen much apart from like 2 to 3 days of cricket in pakistan. To this then Muhammad Wasim said that there are some guys who can bat.

Then psl was discussed that not a single pakistani batsman performed well at psl etc etc

Probably, raees and Shinwari will play in 4th t20 if pak wins the 3rd

PSL isn't established system yet - they don't have their scouting module, therefore most players are picked to names & references; hence hardly any unknown or young player was picked. Just one example could be Rafatullah, when Talat was there from start. Maqsood was a walking wicket & they kept him playing. Same can be said for Saad, Zeeshan, Zain Abbas .... hardly any PAK player was given chance unless he is a known face.

5 teams doesn't give much space for young players, besides every team went for batting heavy foreign recruits, therefore I don't think PSL should be even considered regarding batting resources, particularly younger ones.

How are we resolving this issue of lack of big hitting in the Powerplay ?

Think it might be worth promoting Shadab or Imad to 3/4 and just giving them license to hit. Get us a quick 25 off 15 and we'll work the others around them.

I don't know why Pakistan feel they must have a fixed batting order in T20 - you have to be flexible according to the situation.

1) Kamran
2) Babar
3) Malik
4) Zaman
5) Sarfraz
6) Shadab
7) Imad
8) Nawaz
9) Wahab
10) Raees
11) Usman Khan

OUT: Shehzad, Ali (Rested), Tanvir
IN: Nawaz, Raees, Usman Khan

Would like Pakistan to try this team, even though the batting does look thin. Would like to play 3 spinners against the Windies. Would like Raees and Usman Khan to at least play 2 games on this tour.

Mark ramprakash was scoring buckets of runs towards the end of his county career and even though England were losing high profile ashes games, they did not select him. Because they knew what they would get with him at the international level. It is a mistake to assume that you can stage a comeback to the national team by scoring in domestics while having been dropped for the umpteenth time. It is a given that senior failures will do better in domestics because of their exposure to a higher level of cricket. National team comebacks are for younger batsmen not 35 year olds.

Its all over mickey Arthur, if he can drop Malik against AUS and the legend Hafeez then the rest are nothing.
Something for which I'd love to see him till the WC 2019

I really really hope either Rumman or Shinwari play today, and Hafeez warm the bench like the last match

Fakhar
Wahab
Babar
Malik
Sarfraz
Imad
Shadab
Nawaz
Hasan
Rumman
Shinwari

masstt line up, everyone will be happy

:salute

Still waiting for that single soft fifty that shehzad scores when there is no pressure on.

yes:imad

all focus will be on Shadab, Imad pichay se kaam kr jayega

Imad mera fantasy kaptaan tha pehlay 2 matches ke leeyay. Now I changed to Shadab. If Imad outperforms Shadab today I will be pretty mad.

as u said 2 mnths earlier in aus tour that immad is not good for captaincy....agreed..slowly and gradually he is being exposed as a bowler and i think his batting is not up to the standard.....turning into bits and pieces crikter ..3 to 4 months later he will be only t20 specialist..

no need to call wasim to ptv sports for expert opinion...he doesnt know about the domestic and never gives insight......waqar is relatively better..moin khan, bazid khan and M>WASIM are better to be there..mushtaq ahmad can be a good choice,,,

What a side.

6 bowlers, 5 batsmen? :O Absurd!!

If you really want to replace Shehzad, replace him with a batsmen not bowler.
Nawaz is far away from being a batting all rounder.

Same ground for the next two games

Shadab Khan has a great opportunity to accumulate statistics that will set the platform for him for the rest of his career

Ideally I would go with the Same team. Maybe push Fakhar up the order to open and shadab before Tanvir and Imad

Any confirmed team news?

Don't think we should tinker with a winning team. Maybe another spinner instead of wahab and next game give the other seamers a go
