always is till he plays a foolish shot

These fringe players just don't understand how difficult it is get into the Indian Team. When they do get into the team they just wastes up their chances by playing some really reckless shots

Now Kohli has to steady the inning with Badri. We don't have Bhajji today to save our A** in the bottom :(

Am I the only one who thinks that despite all the criticism sammy is one hell of a player. I mean look at his economy , his wickets , his fielding and some power hitting

he had sneak in quite a few sides at the no 7 spot

rohit bradman sharma will be needed today also i guess. infact better than bradman this series.
INFINITY average :P

Nope! You're not alone. His bowling more often than not has troubled the batters (especially the ones with flashy technique)

PP has been good its the rest...badri is not good and i believe this will be his final chance (this series) he fails and we have lot of good young players esp with pujara and rahane coming back.

kohli and ashwin seems to be the only ones who capitalize. r sharma is showing good signs

Badrinath is not as good as is being hyped by many people..
Now that he has got these five opportunities...hasn't looked convincing..Doesn't rotate strike...
Lucky Boundary here.
:four..

always thought he was a domestic bully...initially has no feet movement.

I don't think he is as good as has been shown by his stats..
Will not be a long term prospect..
But he has got a good spirit...

I feel even PP has not utilised his chances as much as say Kohli or Ashwin or Mishra has done so far.

well lot of people thought the same about gambhir , amla , bracken (v successful in odi) and the likes. You cannot fault performance. Yes he has an easy presence , no flamboyance , no charisma but the nos dont lie

he may not be a good test player but a solid odi/t20player

badri was decent on his debut. scored a 50 vs steyn, morkel etc. i dont know what happened here.

As one of the PPer (not remembering who it was) has said earlier in another thread, Badri Bats like ODI batsmen in T20 and when it comes to ODIs he bats like Test Batsmen :))

Loads of dot balls from his bat

50 for 2 after 13 overs

I think PP is fine..Since, he is a keeper..
Earlier in his carreer, he used to struggle in hitting the boundaries..
He has definitely expanded his game..Especially since the SA tour..

I want him to score more than 30s and 40s. At least 1 hundred in this tour will boost up his chances in long term

True that we shouldnt expect much ..we cannot expect and apply dhonis yardstick.

he has batted well so far and given starts everytime

What is the thinking behind completing his(Sammy) full quota of overs within 20 overs.?
Can anybody shed a light?

Ump Malcolm nearly had a brain fart once again :))

Half raising of arm happened but not like the last ODI :P

Badri is ruining not only his chances but the chances of India upstaging this target as well.

You either hit out or get out, Bro

In the previous matches, Sammy would spread out the field after 15 overs...
But not this time.. I think he has learnt his lesson...
Between pressure creeping up for INDIA...

I hope Raina doesn't play his infamous slog hoick shot (not until the score reaches somewhere around 200)

good riddance ..now to kick badri out permanently if he cant cut against this attack he will never go far

So, as predicted, the pressure mounted on BADRI and he COLLAPSED..
:out..
Shouldn't get too many chances in TESTs now..

That was a genuine example of a bowler triumphing over a batsman. Spent two overs softening him up with short and full bowling at pace, and finally bounced him out. Great stuff!

Since BISHOO is not playing, I guess ROHIT will be alright to start with today..
Russell bowling a good line and bending his back..

If only Rohit can be a bit more alert and agile when in the cricket field (just a wishful thinking from me :P )

71 for 3 after 18 overs

nohit showing badri how is done just simple strike rotation and Runtate increase and RR comes down
