So Windies batting first. Hadde håpet å se Pakistan "batte" først Hassan, but let's just blow them away as quick as possible.

9.20am Test cricket is back. Hello and welcome to the first Test between Pakistan and West Indies in Guyana. Pakistan have never won a Test series in the Caribbean, and this could be their best chance.

9.30am West Indies have won the toss and bat. . Hang on, we'll give you the team news in a bit. Misbah says Pakistan will miss Younis' experience, but his absence provides a chance for the youngsters.

Kitply Cup? Our match vs India was a good one in that tournament I think it was the final, when Younus and Butt put on a 300+ score.


On a more relevant note, can't wait t see the team in white.

If there is rain about conditions should help the bowlers especially with the new ball. Lets hope Gul finally starts showing some consistency in test cricket, as apart from a couple of occasions he has been pretty average.
I'm backing Tanvir to get a couple of early scalps.

WI is playing such a horrendous bowling lineup. Only two front line seamers? Edwards should have been allowed a comeback in the opening match of this series; perhaps at the expense of a batsman. It is bound to be a batting track anyway.

Windies team looks pretty good with Chanders, Sarwan and Simmons there ... this ain't gonna be easy.

No, I think he's talking about BD tour of Pakistan(5 ODIS) in 2008.
Butt was severe against the BD boys in that series.

Dear God only 2 seam bowlers!!! Yes they struggled against spin in the ODIS but you need 3 seamers in the longer format. Tanvir should have played instead of Rehman. Ajmal and Hafeez are good enough as spin options.
 
So Pakistan is going with 2 spinners, not good in my opinion.

But dont forget our Gulldozer is back as well. Sarwan wont have fond memories of Gul's bowling.

Meh i did think that they would go with 2 spinners, given the windies recent history against spin.
 
Sammy is playing as a bowler. :))

Windies openers will give us a chance. Simmons won't hold back for too long and Hafeez might come on early to Smith.
 
Lols if one of either Gul or Riaz get injured we will have to play for a draw here. Hammad Azam or Junaid Khan should have played instead of AR!

Two seamers! huh we don't even have Younis Khan!

SL played two spinners against Windies in the last test played at Guyana and they won it.
