Azhar should have known better. You just can't blindly trust an umpire's (specially when its Asoka) judgement on such calls. Azhar was looking at the crease when he made his ground and he knew how close it was. He should have stayed there and pushed for the 3rd umpire to have a look.
It was only because Sammy pointed towards him that he went.
Another example of the phattoo mentality of our batsman.
