Indonesia continue to displace and slaughter West Papua's people but the world keeps silent. We dont see people petitioning Indonesia or condemning Indonesia for genocide.

The Indonesian military organised this vote, called the Act of Free Choice in 1969 to determine the population's views on Papua and West Papua's future; the result was in favor of integration into Indonesia. In violation of the Agreement between Indonesia and the Netherlands, the vote was a show of hands in the presence of the Indonesian military, and only involved 1025 hand picked people who were forced at gunpoint to vote for integration with Indonesia, much less than 1% of those who should have been eligible to vote. The legitimacy of the vote is hence disputed by independence activists who protest the military occupation of Papua by Indonesia.

Just did a quick search for genocide on Google news and nothing mentioned on the first two pages about Papua, just stories about Rohingyas and something about Cameroon.

I guess they are neither christians or muslims, the two most important religions which matter when it comes to news.

Maybe because Indonesia isn't receiving billions of dollars jn hand outs and weapons and technology from the West. Moreover this is a regional ethnic conflict than a religous one amd relgious confilcts draw more attention.

Gilly is assuming that because Indonesia which is officially a Secular country has an ethnic conflict, therefore it has something to do with Muslims and Muslims who have no ethnic connection to southeast Asia or any relgious connection to Papua should be ashamed lol

Rest of the world needs to learn something from Islamic bloc. Just look at how they successfully portray a dozen militant deaths to be a humanitarian crisis, and here we are witnessing half a million people being slaughtered and no one cares.
