He'll be back before he's 30. He still has time to resurrect his international career.

Seems like he always had bad company. He wasn't that dumb but seems to be have been gotten in this mess since before he was a regular in the national team.

think flawed genius types dont work in this day and age

We would've had a devastating opening pair in today's ODI and T20 format but he threw it all away. Really disappointed in him.

Congrats to Pakistan on their zero tolerance on crooked sportsmen. No matter how talented they may be, they chose their own fate, don't feel sorry for these crooks/ thieves/cheats. It will be a warning to the new comers.

Pakistan has been the country that has wasted most talent.

Sharjeel , Raza Hassan , Asif , Aaamir . Md Zahid , Azhar mahmood etc .... list just goes on.

Think of it this way. Had Sharjeel not been involved in the spot-fixing saga he would have opened with Azhar. Now as we saw Azhar wouldn't get dropped despite his performance (or lack off) and same would have been the case with Sharjeel, which meant a guy like Fakhar wouldn't even have gotten a game.

Obviously Sharjeel and Fakhar opening together is an excellent fantasy prospect but it actually never would have worked. You can't have two bats going all guns blazing. You need a guy like Azhar (with better strike rotation ability) at the other end.

Sharjeel shot himself in the foot, but its impact is minimal to Pakistan cricket. We have already found a replacement who also seems like a better prospect. Sharjeel has one century in his 25 ODIs and that too against Ireland, meanwhile Fakhar smashed a century in his fourth ODI against a side like India in the final of a world tournament. Sharjeel was good for quick 30-50, Fakhar on the other hand has the ability to play a long innings.

Bye bye Sharjeel.
