So what do you do on a sunny day if you are not working or studying? I go to the park, swallow ice cream and drink lots of fluid. We are supposed to be out and about, right?? That can be hard to do when the temperature is rather high! At the end of the day often feel rather dissatisfied for some reason. Give some idea's of how a sunny and warm day should be spent:wahab2

I really hate sunny/warm days (unless at the beach) having grown up in the Gulf, however the Mrs/daughter and most Germans avail every minute of sunshine available as not much of it during the year. They usually spend it sunbathing, grilling (my favourite), picnicking, going for a dip in nearby lakes or swimming pools, cycling, jogging etc.

I thank my stars (or star singular, in this case the sun), because overcast days exacerbate my SAD, the very appropriately named Seasonal Affective Disorder. The sense of impending doom, depressing thoughts, lack of clarity and focus, all the SAD symptoms influence me badly when it’s cloudy.

I’m fortunate in that I live in a place that boasts 300 days of sunshine on tourist brochures. They actually only get 280-odd, but that is still far better than some of the places I’ve lived in.

I was being pursued by Amazon last year. I told them I wouldn’t last two days in the Seattle winters.

Recently taken up mountain biking. Good trails nearby usually do 10-15 miles.

I hate warm sunny days. Nothing can match the beauty of a rainy day in Bangladesh. Huh, I love rain.

Have been sprinting recently despite the fact that I hate running. My friend (who I've known for a long time) told me that she wanted to lose weight but is lacking the motivation.

I sprint while she races me on her bike. Has helped me massively also with cutting. I needed motivation also but at the end of the day, only your dedication matters.

Probably going to be hitting all the beaches soon. Wasaga, Innisfil, and so on.

Stay in the house, that's what I do. The ozone has a large hole here in Australia, so melanoma is prevalent in alot of age groups. Sun block definitely helps but I guess I'm too lazy to leave the house too much these days anyways.

Well we have had our fair share of summer this year... Past week or so has been 30+ consistently. Not that I'm complaining... Definitely beats scrapping ice off your windshield while it's -30 out.

My ideal summer sunny day is to drive up to the lake and take a dip in the water or row out to a secluded part of the lake and just chill with a couple of buddies or fam and do some fishing.

Abhi haven't been able to do much since it was Ramzaan and then was busy with Eid and brother's wedding but imma take summer by storm come July.

Came to say the same thing having grown up in the gulf as well. I cringe when people in the West say stuff like I hate winter or I love summer weather smh. During the winter I spend as much time as I can outside because I’ve been kept from the cold for too long only having seen full on snow fall last year which was historic in these parts.

Only thing I enjoy about summer are the pool parties with a good DJ like myself /brag.

Isnt it ironic how that works. I grew up in Canada and the winters are not friendly at all I would rather be in plus 40 than minus 30 lol

It’s sunny here in Karachi for 300 days a year.Probably even more.

It’s summer break now so my routine has changed,I have Uni test prep classes in the middle of the day so I can’t go to the gym and can only jog for an hour in the evenings.

Lmao make it 360 days per year

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it's all 365 days!! I don't remember the last time when there was a whole day without any sunshine in Karachi. You know even when it rains on the rare occasion it's hardly a case that it's overcast the whole day. There's the odd couple of hours or so of sunshine.. Lmao that counts as a sunny day in the west

The water barely gets above knee height there :danish :danish

Might as well go to Tobermory.

Yep, going there was a huge mistake on my part but there's a first time for everything.

I'll know better to avoid it in the future. Not sure why there is so much hype around it.

You truly to bring nostalgia

Thanks, although this wasn't a particularly nostalgic post, since for once I was celebrating my current circumstances rather than pining for past ones.

I go to parks or play some outdoor sports. We rarely get sunny days here in Vancouver in winter

Its not sunny here at the moment but really hot. It maybe only 33-36 degrees at the moment, but I have grown up in Dubai and the 45-50 degrees heat there didn't feel the same as A) We were mostly inside in AC controlled environments over there (something there isn't much of here as the heat is just for a few weeks, but has really gone up in the last few years) and the sun really seems to burn through your skin here when out.

I mostly stay in but went to the zoo yesterday with my brother and family who were visiting us from Dubai (born and brought up there too but still residing there) and they were complaining about the heat all the time so much so that they cut the trip here short and booked a place in the Valais region in Switzerland for the rest of the trip.
