What happened to the dumbest person in your class?

Not necessarily in the class , but amongst my friends .
He quit his job , caught hold of the smartest guy in my group to develop apps for his startup, and runs this company now which has valuations of close to 100cr and if everything goes well is planning a retirement @40. This was an idea he had discussed with me more than 10 years back , amazing how he pulled it off .

Why did you think he was dumb? Just academic performances or dumb in general?

Imo smarter ones have higher probability to fail because of inability to handle failure.

tbh he wasnt exactly "dumb" , its just relative, wasnt the sharpest wrt grasping things in general and neither was he street smart. Academics was one aspect , he did put a lot of effort than rest of us and still struggled a lot . He would have been the last person I would have bet on among my friends to become a millionaire before even turning 35

No learning disability .

I wudnt say lucky , like I said this idea he had brought it up 10+ years back much before all the startup boom and spoke about it often . When the opportunity came , took the plunge , quit a high paying job . He slogs even on weekends , so a little more than luck .
