What happens if Sri Lanka beats Pakistan in the upcoming LOI series?

Serious question don't think it's possible since it's their b squad but anything is possible what would happen in the event if Sri Lanka wins the series Agaisnt Pakistan in both ODI and T20. Or even worse what if it's s whitewash.

Will be go straight for misbahs head , will Sarfraz be removed or maybe step down who knows , one thing is that if that does happen I would like to see 6-7 fresh faces

If I remember correctly they were playing with full strength squad in UAE when they were whitewashed in ODIs and T20s. Irrespective of B squad just like any other game of cricket there is always a probability that anything can happen but in my opinion a small one in this case.

Though Pak got whitewashed in UAE tests and nobody was removed and at that time poor performances were taking place under Mickey and Sarfaraz even before that.

Wasim Khan has said Misbah will be completely accountable for team performances but I doubt he is that short sighted and abrupt in his decision making that after one series result, he will take any big decisions.

Also please dont be part of the bandwagon (I am not saying you are but just saying in general) which hopes to see some players representing Pakistan to fail in because of personal dislikes in the hope to of seeing new faces. Irrespective of who plays, they are playing for Pakistan and I shouldnt be wanting Pakistan to loose just because I dont like couple of players or coach.

No team in the world including Pakistan has 6-7 new faces which can come in and suddenly change the fortune. Success is a process which takes time and so does the development of young players. Some decent talent is coming through but we shouldn’t rush them.

Having 5-6 new faces won't change the fortune right away of course but if the team fails u gotta give others a chance and see what they can do. As of the poster mentioned from the squad of 20 probables their was not even a single new name or debutant from that list

There are many new faces already in the team if you compare it with 2015-16 which is a big change in itself. Only same names are Haris Sohail, Wahab Riaz, Sarfaraz, Shehzad and Akmal. Believe it or not post 35-36 the way Malik and Hafeez have been both Akmal and Shehzad are upgrades over them.

I think we will see quite a few new faces next year as all the young players with the potential to play international cricket are still pretty raw just like Hasnaian and will be much better cricketers who will actually know their game in an year or so e.g Naseem Shah, Musa, Umer Khan, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali etc. Though Haris Rauf could have been in the Pak team now atleast for LOIs but other than these names there arent many new players knocking on the doors of LOI team.

Lol! Yes Mathews and Perera (Averages 31 in ODIs) would have changed 5-0, 3-0 for Pak in LOIs to towards Srl 0-5, 0-3.

Also what about Pak not having Haris Sohail (Bat Avg: 46) and Shaheen (Bowl avg: 21) Shah(Not debuted back then).

Real miss in recent time was Steve Smith and Warner in Aus against India which actually would have changed the result in favor of Aus.

But whatever gives you peace of mind.

Honestly speaking I do not think anything will happen. I am convinced that PCB is absolutely not bothered about betterment of Pakistan cricket. When you cannot pursue a good International coach , you are useless.

Well brother nothing to be shocked about for several reasons

1) Sarfraz is the our captain so anything is possible

2) Sarfraz wins the toss and reads the pitch incorrectly and decided to bat first

3) team selection for that game


4) Sarfraz can't bat anymore


5) Akmal and Shehzad have not changed

6)Sarfraz gets involved in his world famous run out routine he will be writing a book soon called How To Run Out Your Teammates the Sarfraz Ahmed way


7) bowling was toothless for the most part


8) lastly and more importantly Sri Lanka were just the better the team and played well
