What is wrong with our fast bowlers? It is unbelievable that not one of them can nail a yorker anymore.

There’s a lot of discussion about the lack of red ball cricket. Yea absolutely fine, I agree they all should be playing more red ball.

But still, if all they do is play t20s (which most do), surely by now they should have nailed the skills for white ball. At least very basic ones.

Traditional Yorker
Wide Yorker
Slow bouncer
Well directed bouncer

Etc etc

And the worst thing, they did actually have some ability with that in the past. Rauf went to the big bash about 6-7 years ago and yorked everyone. Naseem and Rauf bowled some great slower balls / bouncers in the 2022 T20 Worls Cup.

What have they actually been doing for the last 3 years. Gone so backwards and literally have nothing to offer. No pace, no guile.

Azhar Mahmood has been with this team back and forth. What does he actually do? Surely get these guys to work on repetition in the nets.

I’m so ashamed of our fast bowling skills. Never seen anything like it.

Test cricket is the format to breed fast bowlers but unfortunately we have taken fast bowlers for granted , dead tracks and spinning wickets ain't helping fast bowlers. Also the lure of mercenary leagues and crash coursing tennis ball players into international cricket demotivates Young players.

Add to it the unprofessional approach of PCB the way they've handled bowlers like WasimJr. makes life more miserable for them.

Seriously if the PCB had balls they'd throw Shaheen, Naseem and Rauf out for their refusal to bowl to the fields and pitch the ball in the right areas. This is basic for bowling.

I feel like Pakistan chopped and changes way too much. They didn't allow pacers to settle. Also, injuries didn't help.

Asif-Amir-Gul was possibly Pakistan's last elite pace attack. Since then, things have been under-par or inconsistent.

Stop going after alleged teen wonder kids and select bowlers toiling in domestic. This will give youngsters incentive to toil in domestic and hone their skills.

International arena is not the place to develop youngsters in 2025. It's not 1992 anymore

The fitness levels of the pacers is a complete disgrace, just look at Naseem's stomach and face, its bloating and this is suppossed to be a young guy in his 20's. Vast majority of our pacers have become strictly T-20 4 over bowlers and they cannot sustain their energy, speeds, line, length when they have to bowl longer spells in ODI and Test Cricket. Heck they even run out of steam in the death overs in T-20. They need to show much better fitness.

As I said, I agree that they need to season themselves in red ball. That shouldn’t even be in question from either the player or the PCB.

However, if we’re saying all they’re doing is playing t20, then surely they should at the bare minimum have some skills there. It’s literally zero

@Azaad @Sachin fan it’s not just about Yorkers, my point is they can’t even nail that.

Can these doofuses at least nail one or two deliveries?

You don’t even need to play red ball for that. All it takes is a lot of practice and implementation in the pyjama leagues they play.

Not sure if our domestic stocks are all that great either. We have tried the likes of Mohd Ali, Mir Hamza and they have struggled for Pakistan in all formats.
