What have you learned from your 20's?

I turn 30 next month. 20's has been a learning curve for me. Here are things I have learned from my 20's:

  • World is both a nice place and not a nice place. Don't go overboard with thinking and analyzing. Keep it simple.

  • You need to know where your priorities lie. You can't do everything and please everybody.

  • Set realistic goals. If your goal is to go to Mars, that's unlikely to happen. Know what your strengths and weaknesses are and plan accordingly.

  • Manage your money well. Don't go into debt.

  • Whatever you want to do in life, stick with it for a bit. Don't keep on changing your plans.

  • Take your health seriously. It is easy to mess up your body and mind during 20's.

  • Do not make excuses. You can't control people/situations but you can control how you react.

Well I can only tell you from experience that you will find things change, you will change, people you know will change, everything will change. Its how good are you at accepting change.

So true!

These changes often happen slowly. You can't even notice.

Things I thought were important when I was in my 20's are no longer that important. You can see how much you have learnt in your 20's imagine how much you are going to learn in the next decade.
