I am very glad Indians don't control FIFA. They could've ruined it like they ruined cricket.

If India was running FIFA (hypothetically), I think they would've done this:

- Put Argentina and Brazil in same group every time.
- Arrange World Cup every single year.
- Have 80 teams in World Cup so that India could qualify. Also, would've found way to make Pakistan qualify and put Pakistan and India in the same group every time.
- Give India preferential schedulings and venues.
- Arrange the most number of friendly games for India.
- Play petty politics.

We would give Pakistan hosting rights to WC and then proceed to make it practically a Indian WC like we did during Champions trophy 2025 and then watch the Pakistani qaum go into a epic National meltdown for months !!

If Indians were running FIFA, football would actually have become more global, inclusive, and representative.

Look at cricket for proof. Under England’s control, it was an elitist game restricted to a few countries. Once BCCI grew in influence, cricket expanded massively, new nations got opportunities, new tournaments flourished, and the sport finally reached a wider global audience.

Your home nation Bangladesh only got test status thanks to BCCI's support.

If India were running FIFA, you’d likely see:

• Greater participation from Asia, Africa, and smaller footballing nations instead of just a Euro–South America monopoly.
• Fairer representation for developing football countries, who are often sidelined under the current system.
• A genuine push to make it the true world’s game by expanding opportunities instead of gatekeeping.

India’s influence would probably have democratized football, just like it did for cricket.

Any sport they control is likely to be ruined. It is because they engage in overcommercialization and petty politics.

For example, putting Pakistan and India always in same group every time. These things do not happen in any other major sport. Group selections are generally done randomly.
