Suddenly it looks like there could be a result in this match after three days of attrition, which is often the case in UAE.

Don't want to be chasing more than 120 on a pitch that's now offering turn against Herath and co.

Anything more than 120 and if we lose a couple of early wickets then it's anybody's game.

SL may collapse tomorrow. It's mostly about the time left for chasing.

150-180.

The problem is not just the time but more so the pitch. Not because it's a minefield but the reason being it's so slow so it's difficult to time your shots unless it's a rank long hop from a spinner.

Anyway first session will decide - ideally Pak need to bundle them out in that session.

It all depends on that first session. Don't want Herath to get stuck into this inexperienced batting side tomorrow

It depends on the amount of time we have left we should look to dismiss them by lunch if not then early on in the second session should be max.

Knowing UAE: anything above 180 and Pakistan will suffer.

So if Pak manage to keep it under 150 then Pak can win.

Anything less than 200 and I will back us to chase it.

I think, PAK won't like to chase anything for over 45 overs. 4th innings of a Test match is a bit different - more than target, teams are more concerned about how many overs they can survive if things start to go wrong. PAK made a massive mistake in 2nd Test against NZ.

Anything less than 50 overs probably ensures that PAK can survive even from 57/5 .... I think PAK will need another around 45-50 overs to get last 6 wickets - at this rate Lankans won't score more than 175 - that means 170 in 40 overs. I think, it'll be a 6/5 wicket win, provided PAK catches well.

even if its 170 or 200 , the question is whos gonna chase it in 40 or 50 overs in current playing 11 ?

165 is my limit. Which means we need to dismiss half hour after lunch. That would leave 50 overs to chase this.
Couple of early ones 2maw and its on

With the snails in our top order, I'd be nervous chasing anything above 120. We haven't done too well recently in our 4th innings due to the approach of our players being so negative. Might need to promote Sarfraz or Hasan up the order to breathe life in to the innings early on otherwise the tuk tuk approach can even make 150 a tough score to chase and bring SL in to the game.

Anything less than 150 = Easy Win

220+ will be tough due to time left in the match.

I suspect that Pakistan would prefer to chase a slightly larger score in less time than a smaller score in more time. For example, I think they would prefer to chase 170 in 40 overs rather than 150 in 60 overs. Obviously this reduces their chances of losing the game and therefore takes a lot of pressure off them.

300+ in 55 overs :saslam :shan :azhar :shafiq2 :babar :haris :sarf :amir2 :yasir :hasanali

P.S. @Mods we need an Abbas Emoji boys !!

Anything under 200 is chaseable, 200-225 50-50,225-250 advantage Lanka 60-40, anything over 250 is extremely difficult, u also have to consider the slowness of the track.

what SL need to do to win, Score Atleast 250 in 2 sessions than try to get pak out in last 2 sessions, What Pak need to do to win, get out SL under 200 and then score that in last 2 session, what I think will happen, SL will get out around 250 an hour after lunch tomorrow, and Pak will make around 100 for 3 or 4 down and it will be a draw.

I would say anything under 150 should not be too difficult. Looks like SL will likely be out around 125.

Pakistan will fancy their chances for any score below 150. Anything more than that means Pakistan will have to chase it in less than 2 sessions. Seeing how game has progressed so far, scoring at more than 3 rpo can be really tricky.

Some overly optimistic predictions here.

Even 120 is looking too much.

The horse has surely bolted.

Can't see Pakistan chasing this down unless someone plays a once in a lifetime knock.

More than runs, I think, PAK's range in 4th innings is 85-86 overs - Herath & Lakmal will run through the tail with 2nd ball. Whatever target, PAK should look to win it inside 80, may be 85 overs.
