What is the reasoning for a official vice captain not being announced?

A serious question here. Everyone is talking about dropping Sarfraz . We aren't even developing a back up for him which is a worry. But why isn't there a official vice captain ? What if Sarfraz was got injured mid game who would take over ?

From the looks of it, they are developing Babar to be next captain. But nothing official.

Sarfraz actually plays it quite safe while selection. No backup wicket keeper. No official vice captain.

It doesn't seem to be something that's officially stated by PCB often. We rarely had one with Misbah as well.

As per reports, Malik is the de facto VC.

There don't seem to any proper plans for a captain after Sarfraz/in case of emergency.

Seems like Malik is the stand-in captain if Sarfraz gets injured, but we genuinely need to develop a vice-captain in either Fakhar or Babar.
