Yeah interesting comparison. He is indeed a Buttler type batsman. The only downside to this comparion is that Buttler is more of an alrounder (w/k).

I thought the same as well. Dunno why are people going so hard on him. He is an excellent hitter and can be really useful for Pakistan in the long run. Need to give him more chances imo.

Well noted. This reminds me of Umar Akmal's superior stats after X no of games compared to Tendulkar. Over the years, I have seen some incredibly dumb comparisons and analogies. The "Asif could be our Buttler" narrative tops everything.

Tried hard but his game is not suited to anything longer than 20 overs. He's lost his place now i think.

Not sure the joke with Butler. Butler is a better batsmen but still wont win the World Cup for England.

Don't think he picks spinners well, which is the only major issue with his game. Definitely one to persist with in the long run.
