Pakistan's former ambassador Dr. Maleeha Lodhi says that if there is a war in the Middle East, its effects will also affect Pakistan, and if Israel takes military action against Iran, it will affect our country

According to the details, the former ambassador of Pakistan, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, while discussing the Iran-Israel conflict in ARY News' program Swaal Yeh Hai, said that Iran has reacted to Israel's actions, Iran's attacks are intended to send a strong message to Israel. There is a fear that a big war will start in the region.

Dr. Maleeha Lodhi said that Israel has said that it will respond to Iran's actions, no country except Israel wants war in the region, war in the region is not in the interest of America and Iran.

The former ambassador of Pakistan said that Israel wants the United States to be included in the war against Iran, but Biden clearly said that the United States will not be a part of the action against Iran, Israel believes only in the United States, and American pressure will have an effect.

He said that Iranian leaders have warned Israel and the US against any action and said that if Israel attacks, a strong response will be given and if the US joins, its military bases will not remain in the region.

Dakar Maleeha Lodhi warned that if there is a war in the Middle East, its effects will also affect Pakistan, if Israel takes military action against Iran, it will have effects on our country and if the conflict escalates, it will also have negative effects on the region economically.

He further said that Israel's attacks on Gaza are the root of the whole situation, stopping the conflict is in the hands of the United Nations Security Council and the United States. However, in the current situation, there is a fear that the war may not spread in the region.

If there is further escalation in the Iran-Israel conflict, it will definitely affect Pakistan economically. What role can Pakistan play in mediating the conflict?

Iran President Raisi set to visit Pakistan on April 22 amidst Middle East tensions: Report

Amidst spiralling tensions in the Middle East, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is set to visit Pakistan on April 22 and hold meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and the military leadership, according to a media report on Monday.

The 63-year-old leader’s expected visit will take place days after Tehran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel in retaliation to an alleged Israeli airstrike on its Damascus consulate in Syria that killed several people, including two senior commanders of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Geo News reported.

The visit also assumes significance as it comes amidst ongoing efforts by Pakistan and Iran to deepen their cooperation which received a temporary setback earlier this year.

In January, Pakistan, in retaliation to Iran's cross-border strikes, carried out precision strikes using killer drones and rockets to target terrorists inside Iranian territory, the report said.

Two bases of the Sunni Baloch militant group 'Jaish al-Adl' in Pakistan's unruly Balochistan province were targeted by missiles and drones, Iranian state media reported.

Jaish al-Adl, or the "Army of Justice", is a Baloch Sunni militant group founded in 2012 that largely operates in Pakistan.

Pakistan had even withdrawn its ambassador from Iran and announced that it would not allow the Iranian envoy, who was visiting his home country at that time, to return as a gesture of protest against the breach of its sovereignty by Iran, Geo News reported.

However, the diplomatic ties were soon restored with the ambassadors of the two countries returning to their respective posts.

The sources, as per the report, said the agenda of President Raisi’s visit includes bilateral ties, security cooperation, a gas pipeline and a potential Free Trade Agreement .

The Iranian president's visit also holds significance as the two countries share key economic interests, most notably the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline, the report said.

In another development, Iran announced on Monday that they would release Pakistanis stranded on a ship seized by the Iranian forces, after confirmation of their nationalities and completing legal formalities due to brotherly ties between the two countries, the report said.

This is good news for Pakistan that we are having good relations with our neighbors. The credit for good relations with Iran goes to Zardari.

Pakistan need to side with Iran here as Israel is an apartheid and occupier regime whose mere existence is the menace for the global peace.

Side with US.

Why would Pakistan side with Iran when it has been creating trouble in Pakistan by attacking our country and harboring terrorist against us.

Iran is just a ticking time bomb. Either side with US, or just act neutral and leave both Israel and Iran alone in there fight, as its not Pakistan's war.

This is not our problem. Unless Pakistan can get a deal made that helps its economy by siding with US, there is nothing to it for our benefit.

Pakistan's approach ? Sit back and watch like a spectator at Day 1 of a Lord's Test match. Haven't we enough problems of our own to address ?

Pakistan should avoid publicly supporting Iran but I think they should continue providing them support from the back.

Pakistan should sit back and avoid dealing with such volatile nations.

dont get involved, hope u get some extra dollars by stirring anti Iran paranoia

There is no need for Pakistan to get involve in anyone's War.

Pakistan like most countries will issue a standard statement urging restraint on both sides. That'll be the extent of it's involvement.

I'm sure Pakistan - both the public and the government is very much on the Palestinian's side in the Israel-Palestine conflict but the Iran-Israel conflict has nothing (on paper) to do with that and there's no reason to pick a side it it doesn't have to.

Immy would have immediately launched a blitzkrieg nuclear keyboard attack on the yahood...

This current regime is boneless... :inti

With thieves & sellouts in charge of Pakistan who bow down to those Who feed them , Iran shouldn’t get too close or trust Pakistan. But continue trade etc . Pakistan has less influence than Iran in the world

Pakistan should look at its auqaat, stay silent in this matter and not take sides.

Pakistan should support Iran but not officlally otherwise sanctions may hit them too so they have to play very safe.

Pakistan to host Iran's president Monday for official bilateral talks

Pakistan announced Thursday that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will pay a three-day official visit to Islamabad, starting April 22, as the neighboring countries seek to mend relations after an unprecedented exchange of antiterror missile strikes on each other’s territory.

“He is coming. We welcome them,” Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told reporters in the Pakistani capital. “The visit is on the card for April 22nd, 23rd and 24th. We are obviously making full preparations for it.”

Dar rejected the idea that Iran's recent military standoff with Israel could lead to Islamabad and Tehran postponing Raisi's visit.

“This visit had been planned for weeks and months before the incident occurred,” Dar stated.

The announcement comes a day after representatives to the United Nations of nearly 50 countries, including the United States, jointly condemned Iran’s missile and drone attacks against Israel over the weekend.

“We note that Iran’s escalatory attack is the latest in a pattern of dangerous and destabilizing actions by Iran and its militant partners that pose a grave threat to international peace and security,” the statement said.

Washington, the European Union, and the G7 group of industrialized nations all announced plans to consider fresh sanctions on Tehran, an action aimed at supporting Israel while persuading it against further escalation.

The Iranian attack involving some 350 drones and missiles was a response to Israel’s suspected strike on Iran’s consulate in Syria on April 1. Tehran said the strike killed killing two Iranian generals and five other officers of its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

On Tuesday, Dar addressed a joint news conference with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud in Islamabad, where they jointly urged an immediate cease-fire in Gaza but refrained from calling out Iran for launching the attack on Israel.

Pakistan and Iran share a 900-kilometer border. The countries accuse each other of not doing enough to prevent militants from sheltering on their respective soils and launching cross-border terrorist attacks.

In January, Iranian security forces launched missile strikes against what they said were anti-Iran militant hideouts in the southwestern Pakistani border province of Baluchistan. Islamabad condemned Iran's violation of its territorial integrity and retaliated with strikes on bases of anti-Pakistan militants operating from Iranian soil.

The strikes fueled concerns about a larger conflict between the two Muslim countries and of wider regional instability after Hamas launched a terror attack on Israel on October 7.

Tehran and Islamabad swiftly undertook diplomatic efforts to ease the bilateral tensions and pledged to respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Pakistan and Iran recently renewed their pledges to build a long-planned multi-billion-dollar pipeline linking the two countries to import Iranian natural gas.

While Tehran says it has completed construction of 900 kilometers of the pipeline on its side of the border, construction has not started on the Pakistani side because Islamabad fears it would invite U.S. sanctions for importing energy from Iran.

I think this visit by the Iranian President is the foundation of a new chapter in Pakistan-Iran relations.

Pakistan telling Israel not to do bad things or else they will get punched.

So far, no Muslim nation has done anything practical for Palestine considering Pakistan. Just condemnation won't be enough.

Pak establishment will do nothing. Just give some self determination speech on which they are experts now and go back to being a US puppet.

They are busy doing something else in Pakistan. Not interested in Palestine or Kashmir or any other Muslim related issue. They just want a control in Pakistan and working hard for it.
