So I was watching the highlights of Pakistan's exit from the 2015 world cup. Most folks would remember that for Wahab's career defining spell and the duel with Shane Watson. There were plenty of coulda woulda shoulda about Rahat dropping the world cup etc.
As the game finished - there weere despondent expressions, drooped shoulders and maybe even a few tears. The players shook hands..yet two players were in their own private bubble comforting each other, I suppose.

I am sorry I cant figure it out but it seemed pretty creepy. Can anyone tell me whats happening between Afridi and Shehzad here?

Afridi clearly didn't give a crap about that tournament because he wasn't given the captaincy. Here he is celebrating his last ODI with Shezzy after we crash out at the QFs. The rest of the team looked dejected and then there were these two all smiles. Wastes.

I remember both Younis and Afridi happily hugging each other after the match.

Really annoyed me.

Somewhat off-topic but I don't understand why anyone would blame Rahat for "dropping the world cup". Australia finished with 6 wkts and 16 overs left. No way one dropped catch would have made a difference to the result.

Misbah shouldn't have been captain for the tournament (nor Afridi) however the body language of lala and his output during that WC was nothing short of pathetic.

It shows like Misbah he was also a selfish player.

There’s a video of Afridi biting Shehzads neck on the field during the NZ ODI series in 2015.

This has always been creepy.

There was an opinion (no point in re-litigating) that given how quickly the first three wickets came....this would have rocked their batting in to submission. I mean they Glenn "Afridi" Maxwell coming in next.
Think most people would concur that it was substandard total that Australia would have chased 11 times out of 10.

By the looks of it they are just consoling each other.

From this picture it's difficult to work out who actually won that match.

It was painfully visible that some of the players were really not into it. they didnt care about the result and were there just to fill the numbers.

there is something called momentum in cricket. Wahab had his tail up and could have taken couple more in that spell had the catch been completed.8 times of 10 Aus would chase it down but 100/5 in a WC knock out and suddenly you know one more mistake and it could be ugly a bit like first test NZ vs Pakistan had Babar not been needlesley run out its a comfortable 6 wickets win but then one wicket and results turns on its head.

Pakistani batting's legendary ability to collapse in 4th innings run chases is not shared by other countries.
