What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

Breakfast: Parathas + fried eggs + veggie. Coffee.

Lunch: Noodles + cake.

Dinner: Rice + spicy fish curry. Ice cream. Chicken roll. Milk.

:inti

Got a nasty fever and cold. :inti

Having some warm turmeric milk. I don't like the taste. :inti

Had paratha with chicken and egg as well.

Today is my cheat day, so I treated myself to a loaded fries from Jollibee.
Had fried chicken with fries today… at least I went half Diet Coke in the root beer to be healthier :asghar

But today was leg day so hopefully not too shabby

I was following keto diet a while ago.

Anyway, I don't do any specific diet now. But, I do regular intermittent fasting and regular cardio. Managed to lose 18 pounds with these (went from 213 pounds to 195 pounds).

A very good achievement. I eat plenty like you too but I try to eat more often with less amount and have fruit regularly in between which helps breaks down food. If you do cardio regularly its not an issue.

The food in North America seems to be pretty bad imo. I dont think I could ever eat a whole bagel. However the seafood should be great in Canada? How does the seafood compare to Bangladesh?

Intermittent fasting is the only thing that helped me with weight loss. All other methods failed for me. I definitely recommend intermittent fasting for getting healthy and losing weight.

Regarding seafoods in Canada, it is different than Bangladeshi fishes. Both are tasty in their own unique ways.

Anyway, I eat more meat than fish.

Daves. That’s literally what I had yesterday. Can only speak between Popeyes and Dave’s tho. Haven’t come across halal wingstop yet. Even in Middle East they had halal Popeyes… did make me sick one time tho so that probably affects my decision :asghar

I cannot wait to try it. I have been to Popeyes and Wingstop. Both are excellent.

KFC is bottom tier. :ROFLMAO:

KFC is the worst in the US somehow lmao of all places. It’s decent in Pakistan and Middle East. Half the menu items don’t even exist in US.

I know every chicken place has their own marquee sandwich, but zinger from GCC or Pak KFC for me is still GOAT.

Same in the UK!

My first experience of KFC was actually in Pakistan when I went there as a kid. It was so good.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks highly of KFC in Pakistan. They're doing a great job there.

How's the Turkish food in US and where would you say is the best city/region in Turkish for it?

Turkish food is sadly just rebranded as general “Mediterranean” or even worse just “Greek” lol.

Tbh outside of south east Asia surprisingly have not been to a place that did Turkish cuisine justice outside of Turkey.

Even Armenians have more restaurants than Turks in Cali from what I heard.

Plenty of solid desi food though if you go to NY or TX. Better luck getting good Turkish food in Canada eh @sweep_shot they have wider variety of Asian countries’ cuisine

Sorry to hear that!

We have great Turkish food in London. My top picks are Gokyuzu and Tarshish. You should come visit.

I live near Green Lanes and Wood Green in North London. They both have big Turkish communities here and are known for Turkish restaurants.

Everyone says there’s something special about the beef you get in Texas.

I’ve been to the US twice. I went to NY and Florida. I enjoyed my time there.

You are right.

Toronto is very multicultural. This city has over 200 different ethnicities. varieties of restaurants. Lots of Turkish restaurants here also.

Anyway, I personally like to visit Arab and Afghan stores for kebabs.

Texas has the best bbq style food for sure man. Not much to sight see. But purely for food and living it’s great.

Think Cali is best bang for your buck still regarding food and things to do. Same as NY. Seattle is pretty good too for that.
