What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

jus had a peanut butter sandwich and free range egg mayo sandwich for breakfast :D

For dinner we had pan fried salmon, boiled potatoes and mixed leaf salad+tomatoes. Going healthy as had a string of dawats.

Have started to regularly eat fish for dinner, like salmon and alternate it with chicken.

last night it was breaded Chicken in philadelphia cheese sauce, green salad+tomatoes and boilded string beans with baked new potatoes.

Will have mutton bombay biryani (cheating with Shan Maasala) tonight InshahAllah.

Technically speaking it wasn't the last thing I ate (as I obviously consumed something for sehri), but for yesterday's sehri I ate a fresh cream birthday cake (bought from Yaadgaar), kajur (dates), honeydew melon and watermelon, kebabs, succulent lamb bhotiyaa, ghosht chaaval and a very peculiar plum chutney.

Two days ago (for iftar) I ate kajura (dates), a wonderful fruit chaat, mouth-weltering quiche, water, enchiladas (tortilla wraps filled with chicken surrounded by a wonderful sauce) and some leftover ghosht biryani (from the birthday party the day before).

Yesterday (for iftar again) I ate kajura (dates), watermelon, bananas, purple grapes, some leftover quiche, matar (fried samosa crust), water and roo afzah milkshake (delightful!).

Edit: also ate a picnic (the chocolate!) after a few days without chocolate. Was tremendous...

Karhi chawal..hostel food sucks!

that is too bad TMR ,you should have stayed at a private hostel . My friend has 2 adjacent row houses[4 bedroom ] & their family of 5 stays in 1 & the 2nd is rented as a student hostel for girls [ :D ] & 16 girls stay there . They have a cook who cooks for the girls but because they are nice people, whenever these girls request my friends mum,she cooks for them .Invariably ,every Sunday she makes palak ki crisp pooris ,rassey waley aloo [ potatoes in a spicy tomato gravy] ,dahi bhallas ,serves it with dry green mirchi pickle & 1 sweet dish . Sundays i pile on to their house & it is a very tasty meal :)
