What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

egg mayo sandwich for lunch, pineapple juice. Some fruits today too. Toast with nutella. Dinner was roti and channa chicken salaan. Dessert was youghurt with sugar and nut and flame cereal

Had 2 spicy Kachodi's with Ginger Tea at 5 in the evening . Going out for dinner :)

Chicken steak sizzler , hot walnut brownie with vanilla ice cream & a chilled coke .

^ which daal is that Suppo ?

I think it's called something like masanale daal (I'm completely flummoxed by the pronunciation), which below is in image of it (if I'm not mistaken):

Suppo bhai, such a small picture that i cannot make out :)

Aap apni Mom se naam pooch lena & then post it .

dal fry , egg bhurji with capsicum, tomato & onions , stir fried kadak zeera aloo with oven baked crisp tandori rotis with desi ghee smeared on top which had red chily powder sprinkled on it . Home fare :)

Leftover daal (the same variety cooked yesterday) with a few slices of bread - which was followed by a light chocolate muffin, to clean the palate.

THREE?! :O I can't eat that much. :P

I genuinely eat large portions (almost unstoppable at times) and although I'm not fat, I understand the effect consuming unhealthy food can have on my inner body (something which is currently happening at the current moment because I feel unhealthy and slightly unfit).

Ims1 bhai, I just asked my mother and she declared it is actually masoor daal, although the colloqiual term for it is masanale daal.

Armed with that knowledge, I can safely state it looks like this:

masoor%20dal%202.JPG

Just to add, in my opinion it is the best daal available amongst all daals.

Cooked Chicken Karahi last night. Turned out really well. Ate it with rotis and raita. Followed by an ice cream sandwich. For lunch, had the left over karahi

Today (for lunch), I ate chips topped with beans in the school's canteen (which actually tasted acceptable, considering the quality of food my secondary school offered - I'm now attending a sixth-fom at a different school) whilst yesterday I went into Heckmondwike's town (the location of the institution I'm attending) and purchased a kebab and samosa from a Pakistani-owned/Indian-owned newsagents for lunch. In addition, in the evening I bought a banana milkshake from McDonald's when me and my mother went to fill her car with petrol.

By the way, I'd like to state that in the coming days I will be posting with much less regularity than before, not because of the fact that I'm given a substantial amount of work to complete at home, but because my broadband is now defunct (I'm currently posting from a school netbook in the school library) as the contract with BT finished yesterday - which will not be upgraded quickly as my father plans to purchase a new package once we move house (which, Insha'Allah, we will do when renovation work is completed in a few days).

egg and paratha for breakfast and i had my auntie and uncle come over with my aunties parents visiting so there was rice, fish curry, roast chicken and hari chicken followed by some baklava with apple pie and custard. Absolutely delicious

Sambhar-rice, and then a cup of green tea (with ginger, lemon and honey). Perfect Saturday. :)

Punjabi Choley with Roti and raita. Not at all in the mood to cook tonight plus have a killer exam to study for so probably will be going out to eat or just ordering a pizza.

i despise custard .the smell of egg in a cold dish is crazy . i had gone to some ones house for dinner & it was not a invite, they insisted i eat with them & they are veggies . Yellow dal with ghee & heeng tadka , dry masala gobhi , some kind of veggie which they said is tindori , roti with ghee again & a huge plate of gajar halwa for dessert :)

Haven't had anything all day. It's been one of those 'coffee and cigarettes' (5 cups, 1 pack) kind of day so far.

I'm experiencing the same thing - I haven't eaten/drank anything since breakfast (which occurred at around 12 o'clock) and as a result, I'm feeling extremely hungry (not able to acquire something to eat given that I working in the library at this current moment).

Has someone ever had the honors to eat Arabian shawarma in Pakistan/Lahore/ Karachi/ Quetta/Islamabad? I am not asking for the typical Pakistani shawarma which consist excess amount of ketchup and fat khubz.

big eater :)

Hahaha not really. I'd call myself a foodie with a small appetite.

Just grabbed a chicken burrito from Chipotle after my night class. Been wanting to cook daal since the last few days but really haven't had the time to cook. Grad school really is taking its toll on me.
