Is Wasim Khan's departure from the PCB good or bad for the organization?

Will PCB suffer or improve after this resignation?

It is great for PCB from an administrative perspective.

Nonetheless, it will not have any bearing on Pakistan’s stature as a cricket team because we have zero talent and it is impossible for us to be a world class team in any format.

Voted for "Good for PCB" even though I feel bad that a sane voice is lost.
My reason : Maybe his going away this way will lead to some thoughtful soul searching by the Powers-That-Be and they find a way forward and to bring Pakistan back to the mainstream.

Big loss for PCB.

Wasim Khan was one of the very few professional guys in PCB.

It seems PCB is going back to Ijaz Butt period...judging by the events in the last month

This shows honest professionals can't survive in Pakistani cricket.

What a disaster. Wasim was a thorough professional and his leaving will hurt Pakistan cricket. It's crazy that talent never sustains in Pakistan. Good things die soon...

Very negative.

All the positive steps he took likely will be abandoned (A cricket, Women's cricket, grass-roots cricket) or not given proper attention. Those lobbying for return of departmental cricket will have a bigger voice in the PCB again.

And most importantly the cronies and leeches will find their way back into the PCB.

Unprofessionalism will reign supreme.

What if he is replaced by Misbah?

Would you still celebrate?

He criticizes for the sake of it. He will criticize anyone who has Pakistani DNA or associate with Pakistan whether they are Indian or European.

Devastating blow to PCB. Brilliant CEO - exactly what Pakistan cricket needed at the time. Was hoping he'd stay for another couple of years.

Wasim Khan is going to be a tough act to follow, whoever takes on his duties.

The PTV deal farce has casted serious question marks over his “honesty”. It is funny how that 200m figure has been swept under the rug and no one is asking questions.

We are supposed to forget about it altogether.

Can he be worse than Wasim? I don’t think so. Wasim has one bad decision after the other.

At best, Misbah would be as bad as he was, which is fine.

One thing is for sure, other Boards liked him. It will be interesting to see how PCB's relationship with other Boards develops once Wasim goes.

Not sure about this. NZCB and ECB didn't like him enough to tour. This was his main USP. The failure of NZCB and ECB to tour Pakistan was like a death nail in the coffin for his position in the PCB.

ECB and NZC refusal to play had nothing to do with Wasim Khan.....he did well to convince them to tour in first place

Maybe him being an 'English' Pakistani rubbed a few people the wrong way. It's a common trait that some Pakistanis don't have much time for those born and and bred in the UK but have a Pakistani background.

Maybe in hindsight WK must be regretting not resigning immediately after Ehsan Mani left.

He never was and never was going to be accepted by some, which is sad really as he had the best interests of Pakistan cricket at heart.

They always brought up his Urdu skills, his English background, his salary - cheap shots really.

Massive negative impact. I don’t bother with the national team under WK leadership. The losss will be felt at the changes brought on for domestic cricket. We still needed him pushing through the new domestic structure for another 3-5 years so it became engrained into the culture and finally started producing the players we need at the national level.

Massive administrative loss for the PCB. I wish Rambo all the best but so far from all the rumors swirling around, he’s making a muck of things.

I feel pakistan was really heading in the right direction with broadcasting and giving more importance to domestic cricket being televised. I don’t know if we will still have this quality of broadcasting once the contracts which Wasim had won for PCB will be up with Supersport and Sky Sports.

He was on the right track and did an immense amount of good work with the little tools available to him.

More politics, more PCB news dailies to come

grab your popcorns ; next few months going to be a top drama (PCB) in Pakistan

I personally don’t expect much change and I think some are overrating impact of Wasim’s departure. He was decent in some aspects and looks like he genuinely wanted to do well for Pak cricket however, in terms of end results he is far from being irreplaceable or something extraordinary. His tenure was a mixed bag.

Just my opinion however, as always happy to stand corrected if someone has facts to convince otherwise.

Pakistan cricket will wane badly and quickly. UAE was a compromise and it's naive forcing teams to Pakistan.
