More than 'not scoring' our issue in ODI cricket is scoring slow and our openers are usually very very slow starters , in the last few years none of our openers apart from sharjeel khan and nasir jamshed :facepalm has shown any ability to score freely. Shehzad and azhar play most part of their inning with the SR of under 70 and if they are lucky enough to survive for long they can make it up but you can not expect them to survive this long every time.

With no real firepower down the order its going o be very important that our openers start well and we are not 35/1 after 10 overs. So what do you guys suggest should be considered an acceptable performance from our openers?

Getting out within the first 3 overs would be a brilliant performance. Getting out after wasting the first power play will be acceptable. Anything more than that is not so good.

75 in the first 10 overs and then get out. 75 for 2 after 10 overs would be brilliant.

35/1 in 10 overs is acceptable considering we have both openers are dot ball kings (Worse among the top 10)
