What will PCB achieve if PSL is held in Lahore WITHOUT foreign players/media?

The way I see it is that holding the PSL final in Lahore is not really meant to be a message to the outside world but rather a spectacle for the locals who have been starved of cricket of this magnitude. Of course, if there are no international players then they are really just watching a domestic game.

From a security point of view, there is nothing to be achieved. If it goes well, it does not mean Pakistan is a safe place to travel to. If it goes badly, well.....

When they have security you complain, when they don't you complain. Just make the cricket happen and things will settle down to the point foreigners have enough confidence to return and they will.

Definitley Bangladesh is safer than Pakistan. But your last sentence is pushing it a bit. Didn't Australia recently refuse to send a team there, and some of England's players refused to tour. Clearly people do "thiink about terrorists".

The threat of terrorist attacks is as much it is in Bangladesh as it is in many developed countries. France has had so many incidents and nothing could be done. So you are right the threat remains.

When we had the attack on a cafe then obviously it raised a lot of issues for the next few months but lately there has been no activities going on and a lot of sting operations have been effective in getting rid of any potential attacks. Tbh the streets are safe and no one including foreigners have any headache regarding potential terrorist attacks. However an attack out of the blue is something no one can safeguard oneself against. Be it Bangladesh or England. The real issue is if there are terrorists running loose which still may be a possibility in Bangladesh.

On the other hand the bigger cause for concern is when such activities are a regular occurrence (doesn't have to be weekly.even) which is unfortunately the case with Pakistan although the threat had died down but there is still much headache amidst the locals.

PSL is not an established brand. This year Macullum joined in. Roy played some matches. PCB has to promote the brand and best way for promotion is influx of star foreign players.

What I can't understand is how franchise owners have agreed for something that might hurt the brand they have invested into ?.
