Imaginary cricketing battles between bowling pair and batting partnerships?

I have always imagined a contest which I would pay to watch.. a partnership between Tendulkar and Lara on a 3rd day wearing Chennai pitch.. bowling to them is the spin kings pair of Murali and Warne..

Spinners will get murdered. Both batsmen have taken Warne and Murali for cleaners even on wearing pitches.

To make it even, I will put Marshall and McGrath against them outside Asia. That would be some contest. I suspect Bowling pair will have an edge. You can put Hadlee and IK as well against these two batsmen.

Lara played Murali better, while Tendulkar played Warne better. If the pair manage their partnership well, they can score well. However, on a wearing pitch, it is even-steven. Whoever focuses better will win.

Only interesting battles here are the first two.

Atherton would probably fend off Starc and Hazelwood even on the toughest of pitches. He took on White Lighting at his most menacing peak and showed he had the temperament to grit it out.

Kohli against Wasim-Waqar would have been interesting. Personally, I think Wasim or Waqar would have gotten the better of him on most occasions.

Kohli, Pujara are probably two of the best players of spin in the world. Don't see Ashwin, Jadeja troubling them. They are good but not that good and practically toothless outside Asia.

Kohli would probably get out to Wasim very quickly. Would dominate Waqar though.

Only mcgrath would be a match for sachin and lara.Pair Mcgrath with wasim or ambrose and you ahev a real duel.Warne and murali are cannon fodder for lara and tendu at their peak.

Saqlain in his prime would have troubled Lara/Sachin more than Warne/Murali at Chennai.
Anwar played Murali better in ODIs and YK in Tests.
Richards vs the famous trio Garner/Roberts and Holding would have been great.
