What's the use of seven seamers for three T20Is in Asia?

I don't understand what to make out of this.

Let me start with, that I am really happy to see Hafeez and Wahab have been ignored.

But, why do you need 16 member squad to play just 3 T20I'S, at home.

Above that, 10 bowlers, 5 genuine batsmen and a wicket keeper.

Above all, 7 seamers. It doesn't make any sense.

My 14 member squad squad could have been this.

Sahibzada
Babar
Fakhar
Amin
Malik
Imad
Sarfraz * +
Shadab
Hassan
Rummaan
Usman

Shahzad(To carry drinks, play only if some batsman gets injured)
Nawaz
Faheem

It's not about the number of players, it's about trying out as much talent as you can in a 3 match series and proper combinations don't necessarily matter in this format. Almost every team these days is using this format to try out new players players and so should Pakistan.

Brother, I know about cricket nowadays. If you want to try a player, then you should give him all the 3 matches. Not one T2Oi. If you want to give 3 matches to every seamer, then you can't give chances to 7 seamers.

Some fans are clearly never happy. It is a good thing that 16 Pakistani players will be able to participate in a home series at home. It is a good thing that all the deserving pace bowlers and pace-bowling all-rounders have been selected. Each of them should get a game since this series is more about the occasion rather than the results.

One thing I would have done is given a couple of Pakistani pace bowlers to the World XI side. Not only would it have completed their squad but more of our players would have gotten games.

I think there will certainly be rotation. I think Amir, Hasan Ali and Raees will start the first game. Then Sohail Khan, Usman Khan will get chances perhaps 2nd and/or 3rd t20

I think its more about testing the players out against some quality opposition players. I think the squad is pretty good. Now my personal opinion I don't really like the fact that Sohail Khan or AHmed Shehzad are in the team but this is to see how these players fare in T20 against some of the best players in the world

Three reasons:

1. Rotation- especially as there a number of upcoming tours.

2. Developing bench strength for WC19 and World T20.

3. Getting fringe players used to the squad environment- training routines, developing bond between players etc.
