Ben Stokes in a presser:

"When we go to Pakistan it's going to be a completely different environment, But we want to go there and keep continuing the form we've shown and the way in which we've played.

"It's a hot country. You are not going to get anywhere near as much assistance with the ball as you do in England.

"You will be facing a lot more spin. That's a new challenge for us and something we are excited by.

The paceman described the 'special' feeling, admitting McGrath was one of his heroes growing up

"To show that in different situations we can show off the positive mind-set and always try to put the pressure back onto the opposition." Stokes also believes his side has a "very high ceiling", adding: "It's a great thing to think about.

"Who knows how far we can take this side over the next couple of years. We've got two of our premium fast bowlers who have had big injuries this summer and have missed a lot of cricket.

"So you add Jofra and Woody into the mix being fully fit – it's scary to think where things could go, especially with the ball. And the batters that we’ve got coming through, and everything like that, means it's a very high ceiling for this team that we can explore."

A home every country plays to its strengths. Pak will be no different yet England I feel have decent chance to of being successful.

England have extreme power hitters unlike our Chinese prototype but Ramiz likes to go with mickey mouse dimensions which will backfire, long boundaries should be made and dried surface that won't aid us for Wt20 preps so we should go with shiny wickets and long boundaries

Unless Pakistan sort out its batting mess, forget england it will find it diffcult to defeat any decent team

This English team is meh. Yeah its still pretty good but in the absence of Roy, Morgan, Buttler and Bairstow, it somehow does not seem that intimidating.

They just got slapped around by India at home. And that side even had Buttler and Bairstow.

Pakistan doesn't have proper spinners so I think Eng have a decent chance of doing well in the upcoming test series.

Also with the series being played during winter, there will certainly be some help for quicks with not much turn for spinners.

I think Stokes is referring to the Tests....don't think he's part of upcoming T20s

You won't be facing alot more spin the usual 8/10 overs of spin.Should be good series 4-3 Pakistan

Stokes I think will just play the Tests.

Ahead of Jos Buttler's squad landing in Karachi on Thursday, Jordan said: 'Pakistan is a part of the world cricket fraternity and they should be able to see their favourite players. The guys will have a great time. The wickets should be good and it should make for good cricket.'

'I really enjoyed my time in Pakistan'

'The people are amazing. We were well looked after from the security point of view and we were made to feel safe. You're always pleasantly surprised by the reception you receive there. You can see how much cricket means to the country.'

'I've been able to do all the physical training,' he said. 'After that it's just a matter of building up my bowling and trying to be ready.'

Stokes was talking about the test series that is coming and not about these meaningless 7 T20's.

Pakistan should learn its lesson from the Australian series and not produce batting wickets. This Bazball drama will never work on slow, turning wickets.

Pakistan needs to expose McCullum and his suicidal aggressive cricket. Nonetheless should be a good series.

Who should be the spinners for Pakistan...

McCullum isn't alone, he has the best player in the world as captain. Stokes understands the situation of the match better than many. He will never attack on a slow turner. He knows how to go in ABDV mood and defend it all on those pitches.

It's going to be good series. Big test for Babar and co to dominate teams at home.

Is that the reason he averages 30 in Ind and Sl while 14 in UAE with the bat?

What an all conditions batman.

Just watched how Stokes will get trapped during Pakistan series Saqlain the mastermind has lot of plans for him

Hales and Buttler are very dangerous. Moeen Ali can be a talisman in this format for England on certain occasions. But overall, I'd be pretty disappointed if Pakistan don't manage to win this series.

This series feels like a bit of an unknown.
England haven’t played in Pakistan for so long.

Didn’t you say it’s going to be a boring series and your not going to bother watching it. Now it’s going to be a good series ??

That was for the T20I series. I have no interest in watching a 7-match T20I series between Pakistan and England Lions. I'd watch the Test series though.
