I've never been to Europe so I can't make a reference point for it but I've lived in the US (the only country I've been to in the west) and I can safely say that Far east makes US look like a poor man's village. Anyone who's been to Korea, Japan, Malaysia (Especially Penang, Genting Highlands, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru etc etc) and Singapore will testify to such. The only places that I think are a bar below are Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia.
This is sadly quite true
Singapore Although very well developed and maintained is like the Saudi Arabia of the Far East - Too many restrictions (
can't eat gum while I am hearing they might ban smoking as well) but on the whole it's extremely decent and much better than most places I've been.
The best part is the Universal Studios - Whenever there's a long holiday I make sure I go there to spend some quality time.
