These are religious beliefs that go back 1000s of years and you cannot interpret them based on Modern norms just like how Hindus do not question and ridicule the concept of no idol worship in Islam which is just absolutely unthinkable for Hindus and has been so for literally thousands of years and is infact not an issue for many popular world religions including Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism and ofcourse Hinduism. This does not mean that anyone should ridicule, question or worse spit on your beliefs which is what most Muslims do even in 2024.​

The answer is that the Cow is considered the abode of all Hindu gods per our beliefs. Hence the reverence. So what is stopping Muslims from respecting the beliefs of Hindus ?

Tomorrow the vegetarians will say we need to respect their views and stop eating meat , why we not entertain them as well? Do you not think that the middle path is the best one? Remember beef is not eaten only by Muslims , it is eaten by christians as well as certain Hindus as well. Trust me , most people Muslim or Non Muslims eat beef only because it is cheaper than Mutton , if that was not the case , it would be very rare.

Alcohol is prohibited in Islam. If a place is selling alcohol other Muslims will be not comfortable having food from there , just like vegetarians do not like to eat from non veg places even though they serve both kind of dishes.
Alcohol is directly ( explicitly )prohibited by Islamic texts , I am not sure same is for Hinduism , probably it is a cultural thing.
