Somewhat of a different poll, for a change. :amir2

The PSL franchises have a lot of positives but along with those, there's a bunch of negatives as well.

LQ and their hype-trains for every young player they are associated with. Chief example of where this failed was the Yasir Jan experiment. Now we have Shoaib Akhtar making absurd statements about Salman Irshad. :facepalm:

PZ and the :quote: news about signing de Kock which was obviously never going to happen, plus they claimed that they are going to sign a couple of Chinese cricketers (obviously they meant just on the side, to train with the team etc. but I know that many got the impression that they'll actually be included in PSL).

There's examples from the other franchises as well but I have two exams tomorrow so I'll leave the rest up to other posters :yk2

Oh and vote on the poll... a lot of the times people answer but they don't vote. :(
 
Karachi because they advertise and hype their team so much but fail to deliver the results :)
 
Quetta because they have a trash team full of hacks and bits/rubbish, and no bowling, yet somehow still managed to make the Final.

And Islamabad (Oldies XI).
 
IU because of their oldie captain who has no business playing young man's sport

A flip up between LQ and KK. :P
Both have pretty annoying tendencies. Plus both their owners are way too vocal and bullish.
 
Quetta has GOT TO BE the most annoying team.

Sarfaraz selects his bits and pieces besties like Anwar ali and co. and somehow they still manage to reach finals. In terms of quality of players, i dont think such a team should make the play offs let alone finals. Ofcourse if they reach the finals, they deserve it but i dont want to see bits and pieces reaching the finals and its annoying for me.
 
Karachi Kings . Mostly because of there fan base and the hype there team gets from the media.
 
KK because they don’t have a good eye for emerging talent and when they pick a good emerging talented they don’t give him the game time to prove his worth.
 
It should be between Karachi & Lahore due to the big media houses backing these teams.
 
Quetta Gladiators.

Despite being successful in the last 2 seasons, they still select many useless players for their team, even when better players are available. For example, they retained Shafiq, Anwar, Amin, 3 consecutive seasons. Shafiq is a disgrace to T20 cricket, he plays as an opener for Quetta, and players like Mukhtar are not selected when they're available.
Anwar and Amin are such average joes, never performed well in Psl, yet they're still selected. If they're not capable of signing quality foreign players, at least sign quality domestic players. But no, 3 years running they keep signing useless players, this time they have selected The Great Rahat Ali, and Ramiz Raja Jr, I mean, what the hell?

I want them to do well because of Sarfraz and Hasan Khan, but their management and selection policies are the worst of all time in Psl history.
 
Give them a break! All they are trying to do is to create hype and some bucks for their shareholders

Yeah I agree with you here hence I voted "none are annoying" but if I had to choose it would be Zalmi cos of the reasons in the OP.
 
Calendars and KK. They seem to have a very strong team on paper but always under achieve.
 
Not sure about the team but that song from PSL1 of the Calendars was some next level paindu stuff.
 
I fully understand the hype that they create on social media, that’s fine by me and not annoying if they do it and do it well

But the team I dislike the most is Peshawar Zalmi, always jump the gun in announcing what are nothing more than rumours. Seems pretty unprofessional that people from the very top, including Javed Afridi spread this. It simply misguides the fans

Also some of their staff members/ambassadors are rude and useless, which is annoying as I had backed them for their values and CSR, but it turns out this means nothing to some of their employees. This double standards definitely annoys me
 
On the basis of their questionable retention policy and the selection of Azam Khan - it has to be QG.

Then followed by LQ due to McCullums failures as captain and the overall lack of performances by the team despite having a very strong lineup...
 
Some of the items we receive from the media departments can only be described as weird.

They seem to be trying too hard to outdo each other.
 
Dama Dam mast Lahore Qalandars.....
All hype and Drama and no performance at all.
 
It has to be Karachi Kings. So much hype and dhoom dhadakha but no show. Also so many star players but all let downs.

And, on sidelines of the skill developments, Lahore Qalandars is also working on developing personality of the players.

In one such step, the Lahore Qalandars organized a grooming session for its players at N-Gents by Nabila which is a first-of-its-kind salon for men.

The Qalandars squad enjoyed an exclusive grooming session where the best of the best hair dressers styled them before their departure to Dubai.

“These young boys represent Qalandars and I want that their high spirits for PSL 3 should also reflect in their personalities along with the game,” says Chairman LQ, Fawad Rana.

A very focused and determined Lahore Qalandars squad will be playing its first game on 23rd March, 2018 in Dubai.

Karachi Kings. Only because of their owner; he is not likable at all. Only my personal opinion though.
 
We received some pictures from a franchise of some of their players getting their hair cut :)
 
Don't find any of them annoying. But Karachi was woefully disappointing in the 1st edition. The strongest team by some distance, balanced in every area, yet were truly awful. And they had the head Pakistan coach and the most illustrious limited overs captain in domestic we have. Even with Bopara literally carrying them in so many games, they were terrible.

Lahore were terrible, but they had a few holes, and they had a fairly inexperienced captain compared to the rest. Karachi Kings was literally made up of half our international team lol.

In future it will be Vehari Vervets in 2067 when PSL will have 48 franchises :)
 
Quetta by far because they select players like Azam Khan(shocking) and Anwar Ali instead of giving chance to deserving youngsters. Their team could have been good enough to win the past two titles if they hadn't selected rubbish bowlers. They believe because players like Anwar have played in domestic cricket with sarfraz so they have chemistry and should be in the team. Chemistry wont save you when your crap bowler gets spanked 50-0. The only repulsive team in psl for me. I do like everything else about this team. Batting is good and captaincy is great. Just wish they would stop with this nonsense. After working so hard on fitness and improving our fielding as well on international level then Quetta takes 10 steps backwards by select waaay overweight kid, who probably wont be able to last 30 min on field.

cringeworthy. I actually like Shehzad Roy but his affiliation with KK and the horrible songs he makes for KK is awful.
 
I think someone already mentioned, they're all trying to outdo each other for cringeyness.

was a close between Karachi and Zalmi

Eventually went with Zalmi because I find Javed Afridi to be the biggest tryhard in Pak cricket

They replaced Lala with the future shupastar. Sabbir from Bangladesh the giant of T20 cricket.

He will get the number 10 shirt now, if Lala was there, he wouldn't have given him the 10 number shirt.

Sabbir will lead Zalmi and win the world cup.
 
Tired to seeing Peshawar select the worst of the oldies available. Hoping for a winless season for them.

Yeah I hate it when they show the owners after every boundary or wicket. Every one seems to love the LQ owner Fawad Rana.

He’s right about QG’s owners I’ve never actually seen them, I don’t even know what they look like.

But the worst offenders are definetly Karachi Kings. They seem to bring the whole ARY family down to the matches.
 
Fact is all PSL team owners run this league as their private party.

So all are equally irritating.
