Think most Pakistanis will talk about the Northern areas but to me the beaches of Sandspit, Somiani, Hawksbay in my young days were the most scenic areas.

Guess now Gwadar and other parts of Balochistan could qualify - as could the potawar area.

Opinions?

I love Attabad Lake. It’s such a perfect shade of turquoise and nestled in the heart of Hunza, high up in the scenic mountains. I’ve been boating there a couple of times.

The lake also has a heartbreaking story behind the beauty, it was formed after a landslide in 2010, which blocked the Hunza river for half a year. 20 people died, and 6,000 people were displaced from villages in the surrounding area. Now, the same lake acts as a tourist spot and provides a source of income to many of those same families affected by the initial shock.

Would definitely encourage people to visit.

I have visited almost all the northern area of Pakistan. I found Lalazar , close to Naran in Khan valley the most beautiful place. Lake Saiful-maluke was also breathtaking .

Only place I’ve visited in the northern areas was Bhurban via road trip from Islamabad. Beautiful place. Ever since then I’ve been a big fan of scenery like that with snow capped mountains in the backdrop.

1) Skardu 2) Hunza 3)Fairy Meadows 4) Malam Jabba (in winters prob #2). 5) Jahaz Banda.
Most people only go to Murree, Bhurban, and Naran. They miss out on the gems of Pakistan.

Tourism department needs to invest more in Mahodand Lake and build couple of hotels for overnight stay.

My favourite place is Swat Valley (Kalam, Malam Jabba and Kumrat).

For me it is Nathiagali due to sentimental/emotional reasons. We have a family house there and I have spent a portion of every summer of my life there, even if it has only been for 2-3 days lately.

During my childhood we would spend at least a month.

Wonderful, wonderful place.

Checked out some of the pics of the area on google. Seems to be a breathtakingly beautiful place. Resembles the French Alps in places.

Yes it is stunning. A very popular summer holiday destination because it is easily accessible with safe routes.

The only thing you have to be wary about are leopards, especially if you have dogs. Otherwise, you would be lucky to spot one.
