After Republic TV’s chief anchor Arnab Goswami got schooled by a panellist on his show that aired on Thursday, Times Now’s Rahul Shivshankar was condemned for his distasteful anchoring.
Shivshankar who was conducting a debate on prime time blurted out the wrong name repeatedly while insulting a guest panel member.
The guest members – Bohdan Nahaylo, chief editor of Kyiv Post and Daniel McAdams, Head of Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity– were talking to Rahul Shivshankar regarding the Russia-Ukraine crsis when the anchor asked the wrong guest to take a ‘chill pill’.
Shivshankar started addressing Bohdan Nahaylo as ‘Mr McAdams’ and threw a series of insults going so far as to blame him and “his people” for colonising the East.
“Mr McAdams, no hang on, hang on, if you are so concerned about Ukrainians get off the fence and put boots on the ground. Don’t lecture us here in India ok? I am not going to hear your lecture,” Shivshankar said.
However, Shivshankar intended that statement for Bohdan Nahaylo and not to Daniel McAdams.
Even as the real McAdams looked confused, Shivshankar continued using his name while berating the wrong guest. After about a minute when things spiralled out of control, the editor in chief of the Kyiv Post got angry and shouted at the anchor asking him why the anchor was addressing him when he hasn’t said a word.
“I am not talking. I am not talking. It’s the other guy who is talking. I haven’t been able to say a word,” shouted Daniel McAdams to Shivshankar.
Even at this point the editor-in-chief of Times Now did not understand his error and carried on with his insults.
When McAdams, who was finally allowed to talk, he evidently upset said, “Dear host I have not said a word yet. I don’t know why you are yelling at me.” Shivshankar realised his mistake, paused briefly and then apologised for his confusion.

Any impartial person will agree that the Indian media is much worse. Goswami was heavily fined for his racist drivel on Pakistanis. He tells people of the fifth floor of some Hotel in Afghanistan when it only has two. Goswami was charged by the Mumbai police then driven away like a mouse in a cage!

The problem with TV news channels , they create news instead of reporting it. Its tough to report accurate 24/7 news when resources are limited.
The difference between India and Pakistan media is mindset.
Pakistan media is mostly pessimist , there is always something bad about to happen. For example every few days its predicting and moaning about getting FATF blacklisted.
Indian media is converse , it sells overt optimism . Its tends to blow up normal news to a victory parade. Pretty much everything related to Modi is blown up out of proportion like he is the greatest leader in the world ever.
Both are equally bad , i rather have they give real story instead of bending it to extreme.

A girl, dua zehra kazmi has been lost for last 5 days. Parents said that she went downstairs at 1:30 PM to throw the garbage and just vanished...
Investigation is going on and cctv fpotages are trying to be retrieved.
Some investigators, they retrieved a video footage of a female going on the main road at night and sitting in a suzuki and going somewhere.
Now no one knows whether that girl was Dua or not. Yet not only was this video released but theblikes of Bol news and many small new channels broadcasted that video on their news channel.
From that video you can tell it was night tIme. While parents said they lost her during day fime.
There was no need for news channels to broadcast this video, but they did for their ratings.
Now no one knows whether poor girl is alive or dead, yet the likes of bol news have done chracter assassin on her

New Delhi: The Centre on Monday blocked 16 YouTube channels, including six operating from Pakistan, and a Facebook account for spreading disinformation related to India's national security, foreign relations and public order, according to an official statement.
The blocked YouTube channels and the Facebook account had a cumulative viewership of over 68 crore and were spreading "false, unverified information to create panic, incite communal disharmony and disturb public order in India", the statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said.
"None of the digital news publishers had furnished information to the ministry as required under Rule 18 of the IT Rules, 2021," it added.
The ministry said the content published by some of the blocked India-based YouTube channels referred to the members of a particular community as terrorists and incited hatred among various religious communities.
"Such content was found to have the potential to create communal disharmony and disturb public order," it said.
The ministry said multiple India-based YouTube channels were publishing unverified news and videos that had the potential to trigger panic among various sections of the society.
"Examples include false claims related to announcement of a pan-India lockdown due to COVID-19, thereby threatening the migrant workers, and fabricated claims alleging threats to certain religious communities etc. Such content was observed to be detrimental to public order in the country," it said.
According to the ministry, the blocked YouTube channels based in Pakistan were found to have been used in a coordinated manner to post fake news about India on various subjects such as the Army, Jammu and Kashmir and foreign relations in the light of the situation in war-hit Ukraine.
"The content of these channels was observed to be completely false and sensitive from the perspective of national security, sovereignty and integrity of India, and India's friendly relations with foreign States," the ministry said.
The ministry issued an advisory to private television news channels last week, cautioning them against making false claims and using scandalous headlines.
The blocked YouTube channels include MRF TV LIVE, Saini Education Research, Tahaffuz-e-Deen India and SBB News.
The channels based in Pakistan include AjTak Pakistan, Discover Point, Reality Checks and The Voice of Asia.

Indian media is obsessed with Pakistan.
I will suggest make conscious decisions on what you see and hear in media on both side. Worse on both sides are very much comparable even though style migh be different.
I actually prefer the print media on both side as unlike media channels you have to option to simply read the news and bypass partisan opinions if you want to.

Utterly shameful stuff.
But one thing about people in our country, as driven as we could be by emotions, whenever it gets real bad like this you would have plenty of people pointing out like this. Trust me, whatever our media did last night, they have been receiving a lot of flak for it today. It was the lowest of the lows. A betrayal of our trust and a cruel display of shamelessness
