The 2018/19 season results are not what Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted from his side but seems that he is ready to let some players go.

According to this :

https://talksport.com/football/5383...trafford-alexis-sanchez-paul-pogba-clear-out/

1. Alexis Sanchez

2. Paul Pogba

3. Romelu Lukaku

4. Ander Herrera

5. Juan Mata

6. Matteo Darmian

7. Antonio Valencia

Do you agree with this list? Who else should be given the 'boot'?

Valencia and Herrrera leaving already. Manchester United are in need of a overhaul. I can see Pogba going to Real Madrid, Lukaku to Inter and the rest of the players on that list moving on also.

Only Sanchez would create a dilemma due to his extortionate wages.

All of them on the list plus De Gea as well. As to replace them will cost hundreds of millions of £££ it would be illogical to expect all of them to be sold in one window. The Man Utd owners have no interest in improving the team, they're only in it for the money. Rashford another average player according to many reports wants £200,000 a week. Any sensible manager will let him go as well but Ole who refers to his players as "Rashy" etc is not tough enough to do that. He is a "yes sir" man employed so he does what he is told.

Valencia and Herrera are going to leave. That's already confirmed.

Alexis Sanchez I really like and have a soft spot for him, want him to do well but he's a goner :(

Pogba we should let go if he wants out. Ego too big. We should keep Mata and Lukaku. We NEED to get rid of Young. I don't think it's the end of the world if De Gea leaves either, Sergio Romero is world class keeper

Internazionale are preparing their first bid for Romelu Lukaku as they attempt to sign the forward from Manchester United this summer.

The Italian club met with the Belgian’s representative, Federico Pastorello, on Wednesday and were told that Lukaku wants a move to Inter to work with their new coach, Antonio Conte.

Inter’s offer to Manchester United will involve an initial two-year deal worth €10m (£9m) with an obligation to buy at the end of the loan period for €60m (£53.8m), taking the total fee for the transfer to £62.8m.

The structure of the deal would allow Inter to conduct other transfer business this summer while still securing their No1 target, Lukaku. Inter are in the process of setting up meetings with United to discuss a possible deal and are set to discuss the matter with representatives from the Premier League club early next week.

The Italian side are still eager to sell their Argentinian forward, Mauro Icardi, and are hopeful of getting around £60m for him but if they seal an initial loan deal for Lukaku, the need to sell Icardi becomes less pressing.

Lukaku wants to leave Old Trafford after two years at the club. He lost his place at times last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjær while Conte is a huge admirer of him and tried to sign him when in charge of Chelsea in 2017. The Belgian scored 27 goals in his first season at the club but managed only 15 in 2018-19.

On Wednesday United agreed a deal to sign the Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka for an initial fee of £45m, rising to £50m. The club have already signed the Swansea winger Daniel James in this transfer window

How about mediocre English players and that includes Rashford as well? I’m sick and tired of seeing these average English players represent my club.

Lukaku - should be the first to leave, not a bad player but was just a target man for joses defensive and long ball tactics, he does not suit oles system at all and is just a passenger in it.

Lingard - has had alot of opportunities and i like him but he isnt the player that will win you the league, if hes happy being a squad player i will keep him, but for the right wing ole needs skillfull and fast players.

Jones - has become hopeless i dont want to see him here again, i was going to include smalling, but he along with rojo can become usefull squad members.

Bailly - was a beast when he came here in the first season but his performances have dropped big time and he isnt even old, he looked like solving our defensive problems but was mediocre in the last 2 seasons plus with his continued injury problems he looks like a liability, he was subbed off twice in the first half by 2 different managers in the last season and that tells the whole story.

Matic - Hes getting old and slow and now hardly has the legs to move

Sanchez - 2 mysteries still exist, what happened to him and why did we bother signing him, he needs to go because he has been poor and i would give martial and rashford a place over him everyday and he just doesnt function on the right side and when he plays on the left he kills pogbas game.

Darmian - will he wouldnt get much games here as hes not good enought and should go

Woodward - most important.

Inter boss Antonio Conte says Romelu Lukaku would improve his side, but admits there are factors standing in the way of him signing the striker from Manchester United.

Inter are keen on the Belgian but are yet to meet United's valuation of the player, who cost them £75m to sign from Everton two years ago.

He will not play for United against Inter in Singapore on Saturday.

"You know I like this player," said Conte.

"In the past when I was Chelsea's coach [from 2016 to 2018] I tried to bring him to Chelsea.

"As I said before, I like this player and consider him an important player for us to have a good improvement but at the same there is a transfer market.

"We know very well which is our situation at the moment and we will see what happens but for now Lukaku is a United player."

Inter's move for Lukaku is thought to hinge on the future of Mauro Icardi, who has not travelled on the club's summer tour of Asia amid reports he is to leave.

When asked about the Argentine striker, Conte replied: "The situation is very clear, the club was very clear that Icardi is out of Inter's project. This is the reality."

When pressed on Lukaku's future at United, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he had "no more updates".

Lukaku missed both United's tour matches in Australia due to injury and Solskjaer says he will remain absent.

"He's not fit. He won't be available," said the United boss.

The 26-year-old did not play an active part in training on Friday, instead undergoing some individual fitness work before making his way to the bench, where he sat next to a United staff member for over half an hour.

'Glimpses of the new Martial'
Solksjaer praised forward Anthony Martial's work rate and said his attitude in pre-season training had been "absolutely spot on".

The 23-year-old Frenchman scored 10 goals in 27 Premier League appearances last season, including two against Chelsea in October.

But Solksjaer said there have been "glimpses of the new Anthony" and expects a better 2019-20 season.

"Anthony can be a world-class forward," said Solksjaer. "There's a couple of glimpses of the new Anthony in the way he works for the team. He has got the talent and his work rate is improving.

"I expect him and Marcus [Rashford] to be even better than last season. Anthony had a top season when he came, [and was] top scorer, then he has had a couple of seasons where he's not hit the same amount of goals and quality, so I think it will be a better Anthony this year."

Midfielder Nemanja Matic, who joined Solksjaer in the press conference in Singapore, was critical of United's performance in the Premier League last season.

The Serbian said the team had failed to achieve their target of securing a Champions League spot and Matic admitted he was "not happy" at the end of the campaign.

"It was not a good season for all of us," said Matic. "This season we have to do better, do more, because playing for Manchester United, you have to fight for trophies.

"We know that very well so we expect this season to be better. I'm sure we'll be ready for the challenge. Last season I had some problems with injuries but I was not happy with my form.

"We finished the season and I was not happy but this season I start with the team and we will see. At the moment, I feel great and will continue to train hard to help the team."

Solskjaer said he expected this season to be "closer" and he doesn't think Manchester City and Liverpool will finish on 98 and 97 points again.

"The Premier League is a very competitive league and those teams last season were exceptional to get 97 and 98 points," said Solskjaer.

"Six teams want Champions League places and want to win the league but we have to focus on ourselves, be better, improve, make sure United is our only focus and get closer to the top."

The Norwegian also spoke about the important of starting the season well and said the coaching staff have "worked the players hard" in Perth and Singapore.

"I don't think many players have had a pre-season like this before. For Nemanja [Matic] it's a first pre-season in a little while. In the first eight to 10 games you can lose the chance to win so the first two months are vital."

Manchester United have rejected a 60m euro (£53.9m) bid from Inter Milan for striker Romelu Lukaku.

The bid falls well below United's valuation of the 26-year-old Belgium international, who joined them from Everton two years ago for £75m.

Inter boss Antonio Conte has made Lukaku - who will not play for United against the Italian side in Singapore on Saturday - his number one target.

"You know I like this player," Conte said on Friday.

"When I was Chelsea's coach [from 2016 to 2018], I tried to bring him to Chelsea.

"I like this player and consider him an important player for us to have a good improvement, but at the same there is a transfer market.

"We will see what happens - but for now Lukaku is a United player."

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku will be fined by the club for missing training without permission.

Belgium international Lukaku, 26, has trained at his former team Anderlecht for the past two days, although Monday was a day off for United players.

Serie A sides Inter Milan and Juventus remain keen on the forward, who did not play in the Premier League club's pre-season matches because of injury.

In July, United rejected a £54m bid from Inter for Lukaku.

The Italian giants' manager Antonio Conte has previously confirmed the striker remains his number one target, saying: "I consider him a player who could improve our team."

Inter Milan are close to signing Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku after submitting an improved bid.

In July, United rejected Inter's £54m bid for Lukaku, who has been fined by the club after missing training without permission on Tuesday.

Belgium international Lukaku, 26, has trained at his former team Anderlecht for the past two days.

Lukaku's agent, Federico Pastorello, flew to London on Wednesday in an attempt to resolve his future.

The clubs had been some way apart in their valuation of the striker, with United wanting to recoup at least the £75m they paid Everton two years ago.

Inter and fellow Serie A side Juventus have been competing to sign the forward, who did not play in the Premier League club's pre-season matches because of injury.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has previously confirmed the striker remains his number one target, saying: "I consider him a player who could improve our team."

Cape Town - Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has criticised Manchester United fans for pinning the club's struggles on Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez or himself.

The 26-year-old ended his two-season stint at Old Trafford on transfer deadline day, joining Inter Milan for a reported £73.75 million deal.

Lukaku came in for some criticism over his two seasons with the Red Devils despite his decent goal record of 42 goals in 96 matches.

In a podcast apparently recorded before he moved to Inter, Lukaku has claimed United supporters always 'had to find the culprit' during his time at Old Trafford.

"They have to find somebody," Lukaku told the LightHarted Podcast. "It is Pogba, it is me or it is Alexis. It's the three of us all the time.

"They have got to find somebody to blame. I put my hand up, like, this year I don't think I was the only one playing bad. A lot of people were playing bad but they had to find the culprit.

"If they want to put the blame on me, you know what, f**k it, do what you gotta do.

"I think the team has so much potential to do some great stuff. There is a lot of talent. But it is not only talent; you really have to build a team."

Surprised they let Lukaku go.

I know many of the fans did not rate him, but I thought at times they did not play to his strengths.
