Britain, while not as volatile as France, has had its fair share of social unrest.

There's been Brixton, Toxteth and this century, the widespread and unprecedented London riots.

What was the worst period of unrest?

If memory serves, then Brixton ones were pretty scary but Toxteth ones have attained a legendary status also.

The worst is yet to come.

British people are becoming fed up with the system and government in charge. The opposition is no better, people are realising they are not living in a free democracy but an elitist led nation.

If/when inflation reaches highest level, a bigger recession than 2008 or possible depression occurs, there will be mass unrest.

The Tottenham led riots were the worst ive seen. Hooligans were breaking into many town centres, looting on a scale never seen before in the UK. Not as violent as some in the past but more people involved.

The context, the unrest and the anger which led to the 2011 Riots across England had built up for years and was very bad.

Eventually in the next few years we will see these events repeated, x10, when this current government (which has been in power for a very long time and is already well past its natural shelf life) finally reaches its absolute nadir.

The cost of living, fuel, inflation, house prices, the depths of hopelessness, etc, are going truly insane in the UK. It genuinely gets worse daily.

Then there were the poll tax protests too in the 90s
