Which slow left-armer should Pakistan call up for their next Test series in UAE?

While I'm happy about winning ODIs currently I am annoyed at our UAE losses, and one of the major reasons is calling up hacks like Bilal Asif who are old and mediocire.

We have a lot of quality SLA - who should be picked? Who is the best?

it’s beggars belief that we never played a sla bowler in UAE tests after Rehman & even Chacha having soo much success , I believe we could have had better results if we played Asghar or any other sla .. sometimes I fell we can have a better pcb if we had PP members on board lol..
Seriously but I truly believe that.... says a lot about the state of affairs @PCB

The realistic answer to this is no-one.

Mickey sees Haris as a spin bowler so Bilal Asif will continue to be in the team. As they say, it is what it is.

Really?? That is absolutely ridiculously. Haris is just an okay spinner just a part timer. In no way is he a reliable, wicket taking option. Mickey doesn't know anything about selection for Asian pitches.

There’s a recent trend among Pakistani selectors and specialist coaches that they think they have an eye for a talent and can spot a champion in the nets. They totally disregard first class performance and select a player based on their hunch alone.

Bilal Asif (whose first class stats are not good) was recommended by Mushtaq Ahmed who is the spin coach at NCA. Mushtaq said that Bilal is the best off-spinner we have atm and can also bowl doosra. He was dead wrong about that. Why do these people think that a player who failed against weak batsmen in FC cricket will succeed internationally?

I hope these selectors and coaches stop this practice and take FC stats into account. They should make a top-five list of FC players AND THEN use their hunch and experience and pick one.

Kashif Bhatti is an SLA spinner who has taken 317 wickets at an ave lf 22.68 in 80 matches. He can also bat and has scored ten 50s and two 100s in FC. Bilal Asif should never have been selected over this player

Dude, don't ask me as I'm not the one playing with Bilal Asif

Zafar gohar, m nawaz, Raza hasan.

Plenty of choices or shall i say spoilt for choices..

Lets see if Inzi can use some common sense and select the right players...

No doubt, it should be between Zafar or Asghar.

Kashif has been in fine form, but he'd be a stop-gap selection and that is not needed because the two mentioned above are capable and ready (particularly Zafar).
