There is one way BCCI might be able to keep both sets of fans happy.

Play the group stage, beat Pak and take the ‘revenge’, and then BOYCOTT the super 4 stage or better yet play the super 4, ‘smash’ Pak again and then boycott the final.

This or any other combination of moves BCCI makes, it can be assured its die-hards will make sense of it in real time. And go to any lengths to explain the ‘logic’.
 
I am glad they added 2 extra teams. It is a good exposure for associates.

Asia Cup doesn't have much prestige but it is good for associates.
 
IND is favorite to win. It will be very difficult to contain the Sharmas and the Varmas.

However, both BD and Pak are significantly stronger now after making some adjustments to T20s. Can't comment on SRL as they have already won the T20 version of the tournament recently, and are always a GOAT team during tournaments.
 
Both heart and brains say it wont be the naagin gang for sure. Banglas will turn up, have the free meals and free hotel stays and go back to their desh...

Pak is obviously qualifying to super 4, really good chance of qualifying for final which could be anybody’s day.

They didn't go to super 4 in t20 world cup so don't be so sure.

and in super 4 (if they qualify) they will have to defeat two of sri lanka/bangladesh/afghanistan which might be difficult.
 
I for one would love to see the Afghan brothers pull off a magical upset and walk away with the trophy and pi"" everyone else off for once!
 
India is the best T20 team in the world right now, let alone Asia. Very hard to see anyone else winning this tournament. But Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are dark horses for sure whose spinners can turn the match on a dime.

Pakistan are Pakistan. So no point even predicting what they will do. It'll either be boom or bust.

As an Indian, wouldn't mind Afghans winning as we have enough Asia Cups plus are also current T20 WC and CT holders.

Bangladesh might mind cause Afghans win one before them.

Pakistanis might also mind because Afghans will currently hold a multi-national trophy while they don't and Pakistan themselves have been poor in Asia Cups including in the 80s and 90s when they were strong.

As an die Hard Indian fans , I'll be happy if Afghanistan win the Asia Cup .

Afghanistan is my 2nd favourite team after india.

But definitely Afghanistan will win a Asia cup before Bangladesh who is playing cricket more than 30 year's yet haven't won a single Asia cup .

I’d think these would be low scoring matches where spinners would dominate. Not counting out SL, BD or AFG either.

Ind certainly has the highest probability followed by Pak.
 
Our ultra uber bhakts don’t have problem now playing against Pakistan because ruling govt is bjp and And those two illiterate joker modi , shah is at the helm if there were another party these traitors would’ve destroyed them by their laser eyesight 😡
These traitors always compare india with Pakistan never ever will try to compare with china. Pakistan doesn’t have anything to be compared .
 
Given the nature of T20, all the teams squads looks quite strong or at least best they can offer.

I hope Sri Lanka/BD/Afg can at least give good competition to IND/Pak. Issue with Afg is that each time they play against IND, they seem to play with like 50% intensity.

I'd say opposite.

SL/BD/Pak can give good competition to Ind/Afg.

Remember, SL defeated a stronger Pak team in 2022 in the AC final and Afg whitewashed Pak in the last T20 series they played. Bang also won recent series against Pak.

I agree. Unlike talented BD cricketers who seem to give 200 % against India and still get smashed in T20 cricket.

Afg has never whitewashed Pakistan in any series ever.

They were infact whitewashed themselves in the last series played between the two sides.
 
While my fellow Pakistan fans are celebrating India playing these games as a win, I am actually looking forward to the Indian team winning this tournament outright without a single loss.

Surely, they are so much stronger as everyone of us says, that they shouldn’t be losing any games at all in this tournament which is apparently ‘beneath their level’ in terms of competition?

Tbh would be disappointed if that doesn't happen. 2016 and 2018 it happened and 2023 only lost to Bangladesh because of resting half the main team after qualification (which they might do this time as well tbh if they qualify beforehand). And this team is stronger than those teams.

2022 didn't have Bumrah. Bumrah has never lost an AC match or tournament in his career.

India has defeated SA and Eng comprehensively w/o Bumrah so this tournament should ideally be a cakewalk.

Would be a massive massive choke if it isn't tbh.

Like I said, it is not something new being done for the first time (like say winning in Aus in 18) or something after a long while (like say T20 WC 24).

Something which has been already achieved before a few teams by much inferior Indian teams in the recent past.

India will probably lose 1 dead game against Afghanistan / Bangladesh after resting key players - once they qualify for the final
