India have been unbeatable but a resurgent Bangladesh is ready to challenge them. Which team will win the 2018 Asia Cup Trophy?
 
Rohit and Dhawan can not afford to missing together in another finals. Both have an abysmal record in finals. That is the biggest chance for BD
 
India is on a different league. Even if BD catches India on a off day, still they will be far from a win.

I would have given Pakistan more chance of winning against India than BD.

none the less, I wished Pakistan was in final. This Asia cup has lost its charm.
 
Correct question should be how badly Bangladesh would be beaten..on a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 is tail between the legs and 1 is bdesh was competitive
 
Pakistan could've won because they're wild like that. Not Bangladesh, especially in a final.
 
Practically speaking India has a better chance to win Asia Cup . Bangladesh has improved by leaps and bounds especially in Odi Cricket . If Bangladesh wins tomorrow this will be the biggest achievement in their cricketing history . In recent times India vs Bangladesh games have been very exciting . Bangladesh always chokes in pressure situations against India but tomorrow they have to deliver their best in all departments and they need to show composure . Their bowling attack is quite good and they have to stand up against Rohit and Dhawan . The batting revolves around Mushfiq and he has to play a big knock whether batting first or chasing . For India Rohit and Dhawan are paramount and if they fail than I don't expect much from Rayudu, Jadhav, Dhoni and DK . India's bowling attack looks quite impressive with Bhuvi, Bumrah, Chahal, Kuldeep and Jadeja . Ideally Bangladesh has to bat first score around 250 - 270 . I feel Bangladesh has a better chance in defending rather than chasing . This will be a great learning experience for the youngsters especially in the absence of Tamim and Shakib . Mortaza has to bring all his experience on the field . This will be a big day for Rohit Sharma as a Captain because if the team loses people will question his captaincy . But if the team wins people will say he is better than Virat in captaincy . So overall tomorrow should be an exciting day for both the teams and all the fans . My bad luck I can't watch the match as it is not available in Nigeria .
 
Unless mistafizur pulls a rabbit from his hat, there is 80% chance of India winning. Only one scenario where Bangladesh can win is field first and restrict india around 250. Under the light with dew factor and high dependancy of India's on spinner , banglades can pull of a win here.
This is cricket and end of the day who plays better cricket will win.

Are we equating Pakistan with Bangladesh?

Even if Pakistan is at the bottom of the pit, you guys have a much better chance to win against any top team than BD at its peak.
 
India ahead by a slight margin but I won't mind if we see a new winner, good luck to both teams. All I want is a thriller.

On a given day, they have enough talent to win any game against any opposition but at the same time, look like a completely different team and be underwhelming.

With most teams, you either know they're bad, good or great. Pakistan has consistently been "bad" in this tournament, but that doesn't take away from their history.

Your mind seems to have no data. Decades meant in the 80s, 90s, 00s where it was very even and until the last decade we were far ahead. Our H2H is still superior but India have done well in the CWs and our two teams have had some great contests over the years with some nail biting series. The comparison was to Bangladesh which still haven't beaten India or us in double digits yet brag about. I was giving India a big compliment, your BJP saffron tinted brain missed that I guess.

That Pakistan had/still has few who can win on there own, and if it wasn't a no ball.. i don't think Pakistan would've won that day

Bangladesh on the other hand don't have in them yet to win the finals. And not against any big team.
 
India will win. They know how to win the big games , Bangladesh don't. Worst team for them to face in such games. I think Bangladesh need to win a pressure game to overcome the hurdle and that will release the pressure for future pressure games.
 
Only way I see Bangladesh winning is Mushfiqur scoring another blistering ton with a few healthy partnerships.
 
No matter what BD lost early 2-3 wickets in the Asia cup. I suggest Soumya and Liiton should do slogging from the very first ball. If they could unsettle Indian bowlers by some lusty blow and if they carry their batting to minimum 10-15 overs then BD would have a chance.

india is a far superior team in term of skills and talent no doubt it. I'd love a Bangladesh win tomorrow but i really dont see it happening. maybe, JUST maybe if we have one of those fluke days like pakistan (CT17).

Virat beat Australia by 4-1 in India and and South Africa by 4-1 at their own home which I think no Desi team had ever done. Under Rohit we struggled to beat HongKong and Afghanistan. Competition in Asia cup is pretty poor and he has to do a lot more than winning here to prove he is better than Kohli.
 
Match starts in 24 hours!

The result is a foregone conclusion, but I reckon India will put up a fight.

Against South Africa it was 5-1 to India.
 
India should take it today IMO.

No non-sense from me this time around.
 
The only way I see BD even pulling this off with their B team (Tamim and Shakib missing) is if they get both openers out cheaply and their top order puts up some sort of a total before middle order grinds through. Or else, same old same old. India is on a different level than the rest of the asian counterparts, even with B-C team.
 
Your bhaijaan can see 14 million 6 hundred and 5 possible outcomes out of which Bangladesh can win only 1.
 
Want India to win obviously, but it will do a lot for BD if they win imo, it's long due for them, they need to rise above their game.
 
I expect a close game as all India vs BD games have been recently and then BD losing key moments at the end and crying all around with Rohit beaming. Can't help. I'm just used to it by now
 
If this was Ganguly's India, I would have unequivocally thought Bangladesh is taking this as Ganguly's team choked a lot in finals. But India have got this. Maybe a hiccup or two, but it should be smooth sailing otherwise.
 
India lost a lot of finals with Ganguly, lost 9 finals before winning the 2002 Natwest series final then went on to lose the 03 wc final, the tv5 cup final in 2003 and another final somewhere. India lost so many finals such as the LG Cup final in 99 too. So many finals they lost in the 99-05 years.

However India should beat them.
 
India are overwhelming favorites... However Bangladesh don't need a miracle for a win, they can win esp if they get into India's middle order quickly. Difficult without Tamim and Shakib but surely possible.


Also, Bangladesh have nothing to lose really, this could be their biggest achievement so may be they will give more than a 100%.
 
One of the greatest all rounders of all time and one of the best openers in recent past aren't playing today. Besides this most of our key players are injured. Otherwise we would've given India a very hard time.

BD needs to put 300 and this game will be done and dusted. They have done the hard work already. Just need to bat 50 overs and 300+ is there.

Yeah rite...had they played then the excuse would have been biased umpiring for losing..no amount of defeats shame Bdesh.
 
Bangladesh seems to be peaking at the right time and because of that, in my view, they'll be more dangerous in the final.
