I know spirits are a little low but Pakistan have possibly one last chance to stay in the tournament!
 
If South Africa lose this, it's time for them to pack up and leave.

On paper, they should smash PAK by 200+ runs.
 
South Africa should batter Pakistan into oblivion.

Unless one bowler of Pakistan has a good day.

And no that bowler is not the Messiah that we usually believe in.
 
South Africa are almost certainly going to choke somewhere in tournament.

Maybe it will be against Pakistan but than it will be a major choke

I think South Africa will easily win Pakistan and experience their now famous choke in the next round

It was absolutely gut wrenching to see the 'chosen one', someone who every Pak fan vouched and back for during the ban, run away and hide in the dressing room just when we needed him the most yesterday.

The analysts on one of the most prominent cricket talks shows in the country specially highlighted this feature of his cowardance....it was extremely extremely disappointing to see the savior do this !!!!

Of course they will do it IA. Proteas will struggle against Shadab and rest of the spinners.
And Pakistan will not have the mental block they have against India.

Bhai I genuinely feel If its not raining then Pak will get a phainty from SA.

India played below par for most of the first innings but some bizarre bowling and fielding let them reach 320, SA bats better than India in league matches.

I think Pak will lose, just pray they don't score 350
 
South Africa easily.
How can we expect a team with so many passengers to compete. I am really sad that Wahab got injured. Ideally I would have liked to play him in all the matches hoping he will be dropped permanently. But deep inside I know these leeches like Azhar, Shehzad, Hafeez, Malik and Wahab will never be dropped and we will keep persisting with them and keep losing

Whichever team doesn't choke will win.

South Africa will have too much for us.
 
IF pak won vs southafrica and india won reamining both match also srilanka won vs pak so who will qwalify along with india?
 
I voted pakistan.. Pakistan whenever get a drubbing by india does well against other big teams. Pressure is off pakistan now. They prolly take indo pak match more important than champions trophy itself
 
If SA don't win against this Pakistan side they should go on self imposed exile again.
 
SA might struggle against our spinners as they havent faced Shadab and Imad before. And we have also mia Saab and professor for against left handed batsmen.
 
With Wahab out, hopefully Hafeez isn't selected either and Haris comes in. I see Babar getting a ton and the Proteas choking whilst chasing Insha'Allah.
 
South Africa on paper has the better bowling attack by miles and the middle and lower order batsmen for the saffers is the weakest link

Bro he strained his hamstring - it is very tough to walk let along run in such pain.

Either South Africa demolish us, or we stumble to victory courtesy of a royal choke.

The weather is going to remain clear and dry for the day, until the evening around 6 or 7 and it will start raining long into the night.

Basically, washout may be the winner in this encounter.
 
If Pakistan gets Amla & Kock, Pakistan can restrict South Africa to 250 - 270. Hafeez always plays well against Proteas, Pakistan are favourites in my book
 
I think Pakistan may win this, and Shadab may create some problems for SA.

SA's bowling attack is not that great apart from two very fine bowlers, so if Pakistan can restrict SA to a decent total, think they have a chance. SA when under the pump, can give up easily.

I didn't realise that had ended in ICC tournaments, they are going to get DESTROYED. If people think the same Pakistan will show up as India then they are having a laugh

Totally agree! we may not be the greatest team in the world but we are 100% better then the performance we saw last Sunday, god willing we will win I have faith!
 
The team I saw playing against India is filled with players trying to save their own skins. They will struggle to beat Sri Lanka, forget about SA.

If Hafeez plays well against SA then how come Steyn has made him his bunny? What's professor's avg against Chokers ?
 
Even if we don't win but put up a good performance bringing some respect to the team and the nation.
 
We should take advantage of South Africa's fast bowling attack, they leak a lot of runs. We should capitalize on it. But expecting such a strategy from the current bunch of timid and outdated players, is mere foolishness.

Hey man even Sachin used to get out to Cronje and Jimmy, Hafeez is a talented batsman and I am more afraid of him than Azam, it was a mental thing. With no Steyn watch Hafeez score a ton, don't know about stats but I remember him blasting Proteas
 
We have lost 6 consecutive matches in the Champions Trophy, the run has to some day somewhere. Be it tomorrow, against SL, or in 2021. Having said that, SA is comfortably the most conquerable 'top' team around, since their tendency to crap their pants under the spotlight matches ours.

Nonetheless, we require a miracle. The gulf between the two teams is astronomical in every single department. If we do win, it will obviously be a fluke.

On the way to Birmingham to support SA. Hope they don't choke today. I have bet 70bucks on them to win 20 as well.
 
If South Africa don't beat us by a margin of over a 100 runs, they should quit playing cricket because Pakistan is minnow cricketing nation. I wish Pakistan hadn't cheated West Indies of a spot in the CT because they would have certainly done much, much better.
 
Although South Africa are favorites, I would love to see Pakistan Fighting till the end & winning it.

They aren't mental midgets like us. They may have lost to India but to be humiliated the way that we were? Never in a million years. What puts me off about us is that we weren't even trying to win and that's just heartbreaking. The RRR was 10 and Hafeez and Azhar were playing at a run rate of 3 per over. The Windies would have never done that.

Some of their stars where in India playing IPL if you really dig deep into this. Team that played Pakistan was literally their A team. With Pollard, Narine, Samual, Simmons and Brathweite replacing some of the rookies, It would have been altogether different team. Moreover they have been playing Icc tournament better than bilateral especially this decade.

I am sure indian team would prefer playing against this harmless Pakistan team over team containing pollard, narine, Braithwaite,etc

Hopefully SA will choke in this important game.
Usually Pakistan somehow wins such games in which they have to go through to make into next stage.

tbh we are not very poor and quite capable of beating top sides in one off games though we are not good enough to win series. Against India apart from gulf in class we also crumble due to self created pressure hence the gulf in class looks wider then what it really is but other sides are quite beatable in one off shoot outs.
