So one in the bag for Pakistan but was that just a "fluke", or did they actually do their homework right? Can we expect this momentum to continue into the second ODI?

I second this, SA wont make the same mistake twice if the opportunity arises they would for sure look to get to that 300 mark on the other hand Pakistan put in a decent batting performance yesterday, you could argue that they had to take almost no risk at all due to the low req runrate and somehow they still almost managed to almost mess it up but what i saw from imam yesterday was quite impressive has to be his best innings as of yet and has to be the only occasion that he has scored against a good team babar was classy as allways, If fakhar and Imam can stay in there for atleast 20 overs than we might stand a chance I have almost no confidence in our Kaptan the top order has got to fire and the bowling unit needs to strikeSouth Africa . With all due credits, I think Pakistan got the most ideal conditions to start off the odi leg. And on top of that, they were helped immensely by a rather scratchy debutant and a senior guy craving for an odi hundred after a long time. I don't think all these factors would repeat again.

Pak should strengthen their bowling.
Fakhar
Imam
Babar
Hafeez
Malik (Won't be dropped as he's a SENIOR)
Sarfraz + *
Imad (Need to play 2 spinners against SA)
Shadab
Hassan
Amir (Faheem out)
Shaheen (Shinwari out)
South Africa will come hard at us. Not sure if Pak ready for that!
Expecting a failure from Hafeez as he has done his job for the series. Safaraz and Malik both looking like deer in headlights. Unless the top 3 can get going again i think a score of 150-180 is due in the next game vs fired up SA.
