Genuine question

Maybe its due to being in the Karachi bubble but the major philanthropists I head about are Edhi, Ruth Pfau (who we have lost recently), Ramzan Chhipa and Adeeb Rizvi-type folks who gave their whole lives to serving the disadvantaged and underprivileged

And I was wondering why dont I hear about similar people from other cities.

Obviously one is Imran Khan.

Then Ive heard about this teacher in Islamabad who has been teaching kids for free for decades.

Other big names?

I am sure there are alot of other people in these cities doing similar work but they haven't got much attention for some reasons. But Edhi sahib was a great man, should have received nobel peace prize.

Thats why i wanna learn if they are there

Not making any comparisons here, but ARY's Iqrar Ul Hassan (born in Lahore) deserves a lot of credit for his battles against injustice.

Inspirational viewing.

He's a good guy but I dont like how he plugs ARY and himself every two minutes

Uses others tragedies for own publicity at times. But I guess if it ends up helping people then great!

I've seen several episodes of his program, and I think it's a great tool for raising awareness about the various issues the country faces while aiding those who have been wronged and oppressed by bringing the perpetrators to justice.
