Tbh I think England winning would be bad for them, it'd get to their heads and they won't be able to win the world cup next year (or for another 30 years)

I think you’re essentially correct, and in the first half against Belgium the Italians were absolutely mesmerising. It was the best half of football in the tournament.

But Italy aren’t in the final yet. They could have a poor game or some bad luck against Spain. Lest we forget that Italy scraped through against Austria and were the beneficiaries of a marginal VAR decision in normal time.

England would have a considerably better chance of beating Spain than Italy in the final imo.

England of course have to get to the final too. Denmark are an useful side and could spring an upset in their semi.

That was one incredible game of football. The pace was electric.

Italy were seemingly on the back foot for much of the match, but looked ever-dangerous on the break, scoring a magnificent goal — and they certainly performed far better than Spain in the penalty shootout. Spain meanwhile had good spells and strong possession throughout the match, but were quite wasteful at times. Italy, on balance, probably deserved to go through.

So, England v Denmark tonight. Very exciting! England are favourites in my opinion. The Wembley crowd will be raucous and utterly partisan, and the Denmark manager has acknowledged that his team are now incredibly tired. It will be extremely tough for them to beat England in these circumstances. But not impossible.

Whoever triumphs tonight, Italy await in the final, and they look a very robust and dynamic team indeed. There are, however, some occasional gaps and miscommunications that crop up within their defence, which both Austria and Spain at times have been able to exploit — so whether it’s England or Denmark who line up against them for the final, this is what they will need to bear in mind as their best chance of winning.

I fancy the Azzurri this time round. They had a good qualifying campaign and are looking good without having any superstars. Four times world champs they should be on the list instead of "other". I have always had a soft spot for them

But Eng don't have the creativity that the Spanish have and so won't create anywhere near the same number of chances.

It will be Italy that parks the bus, the only way i see them winning is taking the match to penalties, Whereas England will have to find a way to break down the Italian defence.
