It indeed was a rainy day as fans looked dejected to see the game being called off an hour before the actual time.

But the big question is who got the lucky break? Was it the Babar XI or Buttler XI who were rescued from a certain defeat today by the incessant rain?

Pakistan were definitely the lucky ones here. Prevents us from going into the world cup with a 4-0 whitewash.
We lost a match against Ireland and looked average in the other 2 games. There is no way we are winning this series.
However, as I mentioned on the other thread, we do better in world cups especially t20s so I wouldn't be disheartened. As long as we don't lose to Ireland and get knocked out in the first round (which is a very pakistani thing to do) I would back us to gain momentum and make it to the semis.

This will be harmful for both sides.

At least the Saturday game should be fine.

The 3rd T20I is also looking bleak.

I think PCT need to apologize Hasan Ali as they released him earlier and his curse (badd dua) got them later. May be it wasn't the rain but his cries that were falling today.

People probably shouldn't underestimate azam Khan batting down the order.

He's gotten more confidence and tbf, Mark adair was terrified bowling a wrong line to him, Bobby amd rizzu couldn't really read mark adair, so azam can handle 140 kph bowling.

Short balls might expose him though

England got a lucky escape because both babar and rizwan had got the new bats for the aggressive batting and that bat was wough to blow them out. Lucky Englishmen.

Too bad the rain has caused the bats to sog and lose their mojo. I bet that's the next excuse fir the upcoming game.

Jos Buttler on yesterday's wash out:

"We've had a really good couple of days' prep and everyone was really excited for the series,"

"I think just putting the England kit back on and playing cricket in England is amazing. So it's really disappointing today, not to be playing, but three matches still to look forward to,"

Pakistan got lucky in the first game but things look good as far as the weather is concerned for the 2nd t20I game. Not so good for Pakistan though, chances of getting smoked all around the park are way too high.
