Gilly nailed it in a different thread. Pakistan took just 15 wickets at the Gabba.
Pakistan had the use of a Pink Ball on the first afternoon of the Test, and then a second new ball at night.
But Australia scored almost 300 for 3 wickets.
There are several lessons that Pakistan needs to learn fast before the MCG Test in 1 week.
1. Their 4 man attack is making Misbah overbowl Amir and Yasir, and that makes them less effective.
2. In Australia, Yasir won't get the LBW's he relies upon by bowling over-the-wicket outside the leg-stump of the left-handers.
3. The two partnerships which killed Pakistan were Handscomb-Smith and Bird-Lyon. The only right-handed partnerships.
4. The red Kookaburra loses its hardness, seam and propensity to swing after 20 overs. Who is going to bowl for the next 60 overs?
I don't think this Pakistan team can take 20 wickets with a red ball in Australia.
