Hasan Ali. Spearheaded a reversal in philosophy about ODIs and was the best player in an ICC event that he won. Brought aggression and flair to the middle overs and showed that if you try to take wickets from the start to the end of the innings, ODIs don't have to become the 300+ run fest they seemed to become. He performed against the best and has shown considerable improvement in skill and pace. Easily a contender for ODI player of the year and most improved player.

3. Thisara Perera (dropped a catch, came to pakistan, twice - no better time to award him tamgha-e-imtiaz)
4. Shadab (for that referral and bringing fire back to the soft underbelly of lower middle order)
5. Muhammad Amir (for giving us a moment to replay till the end of time)
