Who is the GOAT of cricket?

Don Bradman.

Let alone cricket he should be top 3 sportsman of all time, the difference between him and the second best player is bigger than it is in any other sport.

You can either call Murali the greatest spinner or a footnote, there should be nothing in between.
If you are okay with his action, then he beats Warne in almost every criteria that exists. Won a world title for his minnow team too.

Tendulkar

GOAT contender in both formats he played.

I used to think it was Bradman clearly but looking at the way Virat, Smith, Root, Williamson all failing to dominate both formats simultaneously made me convinced Tendulkar is the GOAT.
Ponting also dominated both formats

Saw this pic on social media, where the goats of each respective sport is shown.

Wayne Gretsky, Tiger Woods, Messi, Brady (i think), Jordan, Ali, Babe Ruth and than Serena Williams.

Now cricket isnt that famous, so not surprise a cricket Goat isnt there.

But if we had to choose a cricket GOAT who would it be?

Don Bradman? Viv Richards? Ricky Ponting? Sachin Tichkule?

Misbah-ul-Haq

How many ODI hundreds did he score? I lost track of it.

Right.

Bradman and Sobers are the obvious choices from cricket world.

From Asia, it will be Tendulkar. But I am surprised why nobody mentioned Imran Khan. Imran has legitimate case to be above Tendulkar and Murali both. Maybe it’s down to belief that his phenomenal performance at home between 1982-1988 was down to something fishy. Otherwise, I can’t think of an Asian fast bowler doing so well at home for a 5-6 period. It is like how Shane Warne is celebrated so highly for his outside Asia performance. But Imran was also a better batter, better captain and a WC winner with performance in Finals batting at 3.:ik

For me it’s Steve smith in batting
Bowling would be McGrath

Test cricket as that is real cricket

Other formats doesn’t matter

Murli is the GOAT spinner no doubt

But Warne is the greater cricketer

Warne attracted audiences with his personality, whilst Murli did his job very well

Yep, outside of Bradman and Sobers - it would be Imran

Great record as an A/R, aura, personality, excellent captain and WC to boast

Imran Khan, the first true global superstar of cricket / box office attraction that did it all, and he was from asia to, he really paved the way for the stars from the region which followed and put it on the world map really. Won the World Cup having retired, went toe to toe with the toughest competition and helped shape Pakistan cricket’s identity, he left the team having developed talents which went on to forge great careers as well. There’s not more you can expect from a cricketer in all honesty, he conquered the sport in every area.

Babar Azam! At his peak, Babar Azam combined elite consistency, all-format adaptability, and textbook batting technique to dominate world cricket.

I think we have found out Mohammad Rizwan’s secret PP account.
