Who is the worst batter and bowler to ever play for each country?

Pakistan:
Worst bowler Sami
Worst batsman: far too many to name. Awais Zia from recent memory, shahzaib HASAN.

Sami is FAR, FAR from being the worse bowler to have played for Pakistan. He was a good bowler (and still is!) but wasted by the inept PCB and Pakistan management.

Pakistan
Batting: tough one. There's waaaaaaaayyyyyy too many but I'm gonna go with Imran Farhat
Bowling: Arshad Khan

South Africa
Batting: Richard Levi
Bowling: Paul Harris

England
Batting: Either Jamie Darlrymple or Ed Joyce or Rob Key
Bowling: James Tredwell or Shaun Udal

New Zealand
Batting: Tim McIntosh
Bowling: Mark Gilliespe

India
Batting: Robin Uthappa
Bowling: Rahul Sharma

Australia
Batting: Jimmy Maher or Marcus North
Bowling: Nathan Hauritz or Beau Casson

Sri Lanka
Batting: Jehan Mubarak
Bowling: Dilhara Fernando

West Indies
Batting: Ramnaresh Sarwan
Bowling: Suliemann Benn

Bangladesh
Batting: Alok Kapali
Bowling: Abdur Razzak

These are the players from my opinion that we not upto standard for the respective countries after limited chances or a lot of chances

Pakistan:
Shan Masood (people who have mentioned Imran Farhat and Kamran Akmal they are Lara and Bardman compared to Shan)

Imran Farhat and Rao Iftikar Anjum

Faisal Iqbal and Shan Masood are runners-up

India

Batsman - Sujith Somasundar (Played 1 ODI against SA and was woeful. When he finally scored a single to long on, SA commentators cheered for him. God knows how he made it to the team. Those wonderful 90's Indian team)

Bowler - Dodda Ganesh/Unadkat/Dinda/Kumaran/Yohannan (Hard to pick. Too many useless bowlers)

Pakistan:

Bowler - Rao Ifthikar

India:
Batsman - Rayudu

Batting
Imran Farhat by far

Bowling
Tests: Sami
ODIs: Wahab

Worst Batsman : Adam Bacher

Worst Bowler : Paul Harris

I remember Bacher from the Proteas' 1997 tour to Pakistan. He may not have been the most talented, but he was dogged and surely you must've had worse batsmen than him. He almost got a 100 on that tour.

I remember Yasir Ali was dang average and almost cost us a test match against Bangladesh in 2004, only for :inzi to play that absolute blinder of an innings. Still I'd go for Junaid Zia - Nepotism has never been so blatantly obvious......

I can probably name 10 batsmen who I absolutely hated whenever they made their Zillionth comeback however on purely basis of batting I'd have to go with Umer Akmal

I hated Sadogopan Ramesh. He was freaking slow that I felt like breaking TV when he was batting.

Not just slow. He used to lazily waft at the ball without moving his feet at times. Any half decent medium pacer could get him out. Extremely mediocre opener.

IIRC, he did 96 while opening against an attack consisting of Wasim, Shoaib and Saqlain in 99, when no one else scored much in the same innings.

Also scored a couple of 50+ scores against the same attack in Sharjah in 99 as well.

worst batsmen - Devang Gandhi
Worst bowler - David Johnson

Yeah he did but he was extremely lazy even by our standards back then. The way he got bowled by Razzaq was just

haha. he did have a lazy persona about him. Though he did take that amazing catch at short leg, giving bhajji his hat trick.

But I became a fan of him the way he tackled that amazing Pakistani bowling lineup in 99. Shoaib was at his best, Saqi at his peak and Wasim was bowling really well too.

Sarwan was one of the best, I am sure there are heaps worse than him. Kapali was not that bad during those days (the early 2000s), average of 19-20 was norm for Bangladeshi batsmen.

Oh he was a gifted player no doubt. If he had worked hard and tightened up his technique instead of throwing it away when set he could have had a long career.

Imran farhat
Sohail tanvir

Rao iftekhar anjum was a lot better than Sami, tanvir and even Wahab !!

Sad to see people bashing Rao Iftikhar Anjum...he played his part in the team well! He was an accurate medium pacer who bowled consistently in the right areas. That was his role in the team and he executed it well!

Arshad was a very decent bowler. Far from being useless. Robin Uthappa and Nathan Hauritz are also arguable. Sarwan was definitely not useless, was one of the better WI players of his era. There are countless WI batsmen from the 90s and 2000s who were useless. Runako Morton, Ricardo Powell, Philo Wallace, Xavier Marshall, Wavell and Ryan Hinds etc.

Didn't have the pace but bowled accurately and could be a handful on his day if the conditions supported his kind of bowling. Definitely not bad but unassuming and non-flashy which in Pakistani fans minds = useless.

Of countries I can really remember

Pakistan
Batsman - Awais Zia
Bowler - Ata Ur Rehman

India
Batsman - Sadagopan Ramesh
Bowler - Abhay Kuruvilla

South Africa
Batsman - Farhan Behardien
Bowler - Mornantau Hayward

Can't remember any others for now

India

Devang gandhi. There was a match in India where the crowd was shouting him to go out. When he got out, the whole crowd jumped with joy. Sadly those were Indian crowd.

Bowling, vinay Kumar.

SR of 59 in 24 ODI is bad even by those days standards. A selfish batsman. Neither talented. People have this habit of mixing up elegance and talent. He had elegance but no talent.

he played around the same time as rana navidul hasan.. and they were both similar bowlers... that was probably the reason he played less.. and got so much flag..

I found him very underrated... and often time performing.. much better than rana, sami, Danish (in odi), wahab, and sohail tanvir..

Batsman: Awais Zia
Bowler: Abdur Rauf & M Talha (both were tall and well built fast bowlers with nothing to offer)

Are we talking Tests or ODIs here? For Bangladesh it would have to be the following:

Batsmen: Faisal Hossain (Tests), Tanvir Haider (ODIs)
Bowlers: Rubel Hossain (Tests), Abul Hasan (ODIs)

There's been plenty of players, especially in the sub-continental teams, who only played a match or two as a favour to please some powerful politician or wealthy individual because the player in question was a relative of theirs.

So picking out any player that played more than half a dozen or so matches does not fit the bill as far as the above is concerned, and thus are unlikely to be "the worst" player who has played no matter how much you dislike them.
