fakhar abid and imam both should be selected and all three should be tried in the england series to the test them out and one who performs the best should be in the playing 11 for the world cup.

Abid's performance hopefully will shut the door on Shehzad once and for all - I couldn't believe the talk after the PSL about recalling him despite 100+ matches worth of evidence to his failure at international level.

Shan hasn't taken his opportunities in this series but should remain with the Test side.

How does someone who just scores a hundred against a B attack with a total experience of one match becomes an automatic selection as an opener over Fakhar or Imam for some?

If he performs really well in the last ODI then he should be picked as a back up opener and used only if one of our main openers isn't performing or injured.

He is not picked up based upon a few good innings in PSL, the guy has been piling runs in domestic cricket for years then continued his great form with A team and scored a century at his first international match, what else he to prove to be selected. Most deserving.

But realistically imam has been invested in a lot now and is a good batsmen just needs to work on his game more and learn to handle pressure , it would be a bad idea to drop him now as well

Had a bad dream the other night that Pakistan recall Azhar a Ali on the eve of the World Cup after last minute injuries and open the batting with Hafeez and Azhar Ali - and both prove a point and silence all critics by giving an opening stand of 100 v England in the opening game , except the 100 came up in the 31st over —- woke up at that point and glad it was just a dream.

pretty much this. Not a lot up for debate when it comes to openers (unless Shan plays in the 5th ODI and scores a century)

I also wouldn't be surprised if Inzamam selects Shehzad for the WC based on PSL performances - would be in line with his ludicrous selections
