Who should be the vice-captain for Pakistan in ODIs?

Lot of debate about Shadab's (non)suitability for this role and some reports saying Shaheen could replace him ahead of the World Cup, but maybe it's time to cast a wider net and look at the ODI VC position beyond the World Cup.

Who do you think will be suitable for this role?

If Sarfaraz is playing then he must be the vice captain. Otherwise, Shaheen Afridi would be the best option at the moment. He has a great captaincy record for Lahore Qalandars so he should be given the chance to be the vice captain of the national side.

Everyone wants shaheen as captain. Problem is playing a fast bowler in every match is calling for your career to be over early. Naseem missing out on the world cup being an example.

Both are as aloof as each other. Rizwan knows how to disguise it better

Babar, along with the "roti" group, played politics against Sarfraz. Now, Rizwan, Shaheen, and the rest of the KPK players are giving him a taste of the same medicine. Captains look horrible and worthless when they lose the dressing room. Sarfraz was wrongfully sacked, he was the best captain in limited overs at that time.

Babar is looking worse than MYousuf right now. Rizwan/Sahheen/Shaadab should not be made captain now.

Shafique is a Babar clone. I wouldn’t trust him at any batting position or job position.

In ODIs I think Saud Shakeel could be a strong candidate for the VC role because he has experience leading teams in Under 19 and List A matches.

That’s the thing Abdullah does not play like Babar. He actually had several gears to accelerate - kinda like Rohit Sharma but not as explosive upfront..

Babar only has two to three geara and does not have the explosive hitting ability..

No idea what his captaincy will be like but is not a bad option to consider

If Shah does well with the Test captaincy, he can be a good option but his place in the ODI team isn't guaranteed. Rizwan can be a good choice as the captain as he is certain to be in the team.

We need to get away with this misbah and babar tuk tuk school of thought. Rizwan being a captain will not make a diffrence its better if we continue babar.

Shan isn't a long term solution he's good to fill the gap while someone young and fresh is groomed into the role
