He is playing well these days in ODI's and test. So please stop ruining him and put him out of his misery by dropping him of the T20I squad.
With a domestic T20 average/SR combo of 20/117 he should never have been selected.
Selection should be based on domestic cricket and not on other formats or on like/dislike.

That is borderline trolling.

That is just as losing to AU in a 3 test series vs losing one test against some no name.

There is no shame losing against the best side 3 back to back games vs one game to a team that people won't even know the ranking about. If people can't see Babar's nerves in big games, that is due to an infatuation. I don't care who leads, but lead with courage or don't.

I wouldn’t expect a RizBar loyalist like you to grasp this perspective. Unlike your beloved duo, Salman Agha is actually a likeable player because he doesn’t chase stats and milestones at the expense of the team.

Despite his limitations, Salman Agha has built a reputation for delivering clutch innings under pressure. The same cannot be said for your fake king.
 
I’ve always said that you should not have different captains for ODIs and T20s.

T20s is like a byproduct of ODI cricket and same individual should captain both sides. Otherwise, creates too much of a mess and you can’t really plan well for your limited overs strategy.

SSA is the only choice at the moment
 
He is most undeserving captain of any international T20 team at this moment. He is not even suitable to play T20IS forget about captaincy. :kp

I’d like to see Pakistan cricket experiment with new captains in T20 other than the usual suspects (Babar, Rizwan, Shadab, Shaheen, Agha).

The PSL, with 2 new teams and a new management at Multan could give us look at new options.

I believe we’ll see both Haris and Irfan get captaincy gigs and I also see Saim as a future captain.

I hope I’m wrong (in that Agha leads Pakistan to trophy success), but I don’t see Agha in the team post World Cup. Shaheen also shouldn’t be captain as we need to now seriously monitor his workload. Babar and Rizwan should not be picked in T20s.

Thus, I’d give it to Saim w/ Shadab as vice captain. It’s a new era and maybe it’s time for a new captain to make new mistakes.
 
In the 1st T20I of Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka 2026, Salman Ali Agha scored 16 (11) before being caught by Pathum Nissanka off Wanindu Hasaranga.
 
Has he used Nawaz well today, or was there a malice in preferring Shadab over him ??
 
Tulla Agha needs to go. I am getting tired of seeing him in T20I.

One fluke on a small ground on a wet outfield doesn’t change the fact that Agha is not suited for T20s. Did he win the game? No sir he did not.

Check his overall career performance. The law of averages is against this mediocre T20 player.

Even Babar at his very best has never produced anything close to this and if he was capable of it, he would’ve done it by now, considering he’s played over three times as many T20Is as Agha. But let’s imagine he somehow pulled it off, you’d still be campaigning for him to be man of the series on that single performance alone, because this is what man of the series looks like to you:

After Agha's 12-ball 45, I think his position is secure.

He should continue as the T20 skipper. Pakistan actually did well under his leadership.

Pakistan cricket is in a mess, be it Odis Tests or T20s. However t20 use to be our forte. Surely the 4 times trouncing at the hands of India demands retrospection. How about starting from the leadership. Agha is a completely uninspiring and unimaginative captain.

Out of blue but even Naseem Shah as T20 skipper seems a viable option than Agha.

Some of Aghas blunder
A. His own batting/ bowling is questionable hit and miss he is , overall record is an evidence he is not made for T20Is

B. Submissive and lacks authority , if you are not playing Babar at 3 , then as captain you should drop him stamp your authority. He has made mess of batting positions promoting himself when he clearly lacks the skill and range to take on proper bowlers.
Another example is playing Fakhar at 5, and messing around with Hassan Nawaz only to drop him from squad altogether

C. The Faheem conundrum, what is he in the team for can't bat can't bowl just loafing around in 11 as a joy rider as @W63L35 summed up in another thread. Agha as captain has to take responsibility of all 11 on the field.

4. The team strategy, if he is to change the mindset of team and wants to play aggressive cricket then he surely he has to have the personnel for it. Hassan Nawaz should be in this team but he was axed inexplicably.

5. Lack of Plan B and cricketing acumen , India historically have been at ease with spin bowlers be it Murali Warne or Herath. Only a fool will think that by playing 4 /5 spinners one can beat India. The bowling attack must be covered in all bases. Agha goes missing there by picking a single fast bowler and that too out of form SSA.

6. Lastly losing 4 times to India in less than 6 months is enough , that the guy certainly lacks the aura and command to lead in pressure situations

Playing devil's advocate here. Isnt' Rizwan a slightly better player against spin than Babar. Ya. Rizwan doesn't have big game. If they really keep Babar for "stabilization" wouldn't Rizwan be a better option. He is the one who has scored more runs against Indai in winning cause
 
Not many options at the moment. Amongst the younger lot I see Shamyl Hussain as a strong contender if he establishes himself in the team.

Too much chopping and changing is not good. Agha should continue to be the captain I think.

Pakistan won a few T20 series under Agha and also went to Asia Cup final. So, results haven't been too bad overall.

However, some players need to be replaced perhaps.
