Some good options to choose from in the bowling department but standout performers not that many so maybe an easier choice?

Shaheen Shah. He is superb and what a talent he is turning out to be.

Shaheen Shah Afridi was great there at the back end of the year churning up great bowling performances in UAE against NZ. But Shadab was also magnificent didn't get why he was getting so much hate after the Asia cup where every single player on our team was poor.

Shaheen for player of the year type award.

Shaheen for me. Played less matches than others but the impact was outstanding.

Shadab is in the team for show-off only, and although Faheem has outstanding numbers, he is nothing but a minnow-basher on close inspection.

Hasan has been mediocre and Shinwari is a workhorse but nothing special. Shaheen was the most impressive option and I believe he has the highest ceiling amount our current crop of pacers, provided that he does not suffer from the superstar syndrome like Hasan.

He has the ability to be the spearhead of the attack in all three formats.

I think a lot of criticism for Shadab in Asia Cup was mainly because of his batting form. It was pathetic and that knock he played in the virtual Semi-final was a big factor in our run chase being unsuccessful. He scored 4 off 24 balls, that strike rate is just over 16 which is slow even for a Test match, that innings put a lot of pressure on us and increased the RRR significantly too, after Shadab was out, Asif Ali came in and his partnership with Imam gave Pakistan some hope and momentum, but I think the RRR was high and increased pressure on them which resulted in them getting out eventually, if Shadab didn't play such a bad innings, there would have been a lot less pressure and the RRR would have been more manageable

Lol savage but I agree with you he's a mediocre spinner. I hope he's not in the XI just to show off :afridi1

Concerning that he currently holds 65% of the vote on here. Has to be Shaheen.

Considering the bowlers that have bowled at least 100 overs which should be the absolute minimum since most teams play well over 10 ODIs a year, Shadab is comfortably the best bowler this year. He's still very young and looks destined to play for Pakistan for a very long time.

True his batting was a let down. Hope it is something he has been working on.

I have gone for Shaheen - I know that he doesnt have that many wickets in ODIs but the spark he has shown to me tells me that he is special.

Yes but that's only because he's played 6 games. If you look at his wicket to game ratio it's exceptional!
