Very hard to separate but I have strong conviction about the outstanding creative genius of Kanhai ,Trumper and Ranji who were like magicians performing on a cricket field. On their day Gower and Crowe could match the likes of Viv Richards with their majestic effortless strokeplay while Vishy, Majid and Cowdrey's wondrous timing and creativity at their best could join the league of a Brian Lara.Worrel,Harvey,Zaheer and Azhar were an epitome of artistry whiile the destructive power of Anwar ,Gichrist or Sehwag could take batting domination to it's greatest height.V.V.S.laxman was like the medley of an architect and a musical composer resembling a Viv Richards and Greg Chappell rolled into one in the present era.
Worth Reading Ian Mcdonald and Albert Baldeo's articles on Kanhai or even Rajan Bala or John Woodcock. He had more natural talent than even Bradman and could have averaged 87 if he did justice to his natural ability,in Woodcock's view.Refer to what Imran and Wasim said about Crowe and how Lillee rated Gower.Gavasakar rated Vishy the best batsmen he saw in his time whsoe 3 innings are selected in the Wisden best 100.Tony Lewis and Bishen Bedi classed Majid as a genius.Cricket historians reveal that Mushtaq Ali posessed the touch of a genius .
Readers please note I have regarded Inzamam Ul Haq's average to be here be below 50.
